  1. Yeah I always cut through there anyway. It’s like 20 foot long tops. im still mad that a few years ago I drove up just to find them closed due to inclement weather, despite it being sunny and both their phone and website stating they are open, while a security guard is telling me a hundreds others to leave. glad I saw the light and got a blue pass.
  2. Thought that was camelsack?
  3. bummer to see all this snow on blues cams, yet no snowmaking. Temps are there...
  4. Yes it was. There’s two other front lifts besides the sixer. Both closed
  5. presidents day weekend. basically all lifts go down for the entire weekend. No way to the summit besides the west side lift. So to take laps, they would shuttle you in a truck to west side, take the lift, ski to base, rinse and repeat. Their backup lift had been broken since a few seasons ago, and they never bothered to fix it. while this is happening, they made snow on trails that you couldn't even access instead of on trails you could. all while charging full price. I know stuff breaks, but this was avoidable and left me feeling a certain way. Now one could say just ride the west side trails. Yeah but they were mostly closed. Hunter barely made any snow this year. During the early winter when it was brutal cold, I never saw them make snow in person. Westway trail hasn't had snow made on it since peaks bought the place. I think they finally got the 6pack back up yesterday or the day before, I forget. doesn't matter.
  6. Im leaving the peak pass to come to blue. I hope they don't buy blue. Peak treats every mountain thats not mount snow kinda crappy.
  7. Ditching the peak pass and going with blue next season (and the rest of this season). After the royal fuckup at hunter the past few weeks, I don't want them fools having my money. Plus blue is less than half the drive for me.
  8. Holy shite. Come a long way from a buried school bus. Ill have to check it out. could be a good contender for a pass next year (getting tired of driving to hunter, I'm too old for that shit)
  9. Haven't been to blue in a few years. Last time i was there, sidewinder was the main park. I looked at their map and there seems to be quite a few changes, so I of course have questions. Which park is now their main park with jumplines and whatnot? Good change or bad change? I alway thought sidewinder was better suited to a standard trail anyway.
  10. Elk is like the douchebag husband who treats his insanely hot wife like shit and doesn't know what he's got. great mountain wasted on shitty management.
  11. They can, just no summit access. The article I read made the situation with the tram seem very "saddlebackish". Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Jay may not open next season if they cannot secure 4 million for tram repairs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. ^his daughter is hot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Burke too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Yeah but just tell the lifty which pocket it's in and they will aim scanner there. Did have to take it Out a few times as having trouble scanning.
  16. Went up and picked mine up today at frost. The people at guest services had said they haven't seen one yet and it took a bit to figure out how to process it. Lifties took a hard look at the pass as they didn't recognize it and said they haven't seen any either. Ridiculous day though. Rode for three hours starting at opening. Things got way too sticky so I left. The soft jumps were great.
  17. If your 18-29 you have until december 15th to buy and its only 399. no blackouts.
  18. A friend of a friend posted this video from pico which is an actual sheet of ice with an uncontrolled slide. https://www.facebook.com/Taustin95/videos/vb.1341000042/10205889952751564/?type=2
  19. Solid in some parts and thin in others. Main Street lift was closed which bummed me out since I just wanted to lap switchback all day.
  20. I was there today. So much fun. Bumps were great even on a board. But it reminded me of closing weekend in April.
  21. I understand why hills close and don't blame them. But I'm one of the few that likes riding in the rain. Skimming puddles and slashing water is fun.
  22. That's a Good price. I may have seen the light #bluemymind
  23. That huge rant would have made sense, but they actually did go out of business and had to sell a few times. Also if you took the time to type all of that out and didn't use text expander or something, shit your life must be sad.
  24. No I only go because I'm in Scranton a lot.
