  1. They replaced the southern sojourn.
  2. I really wish a larger company in the industry would take over sno. The place has potential, and i am selfish and want it to be around forever.
  3. Dude you should get spansered.
  4. Clear out the glades on the far side of the mountain. I posted a photo a while back, the spacing is already there. Better park.
  5. I was so impressed with my visit this season that i am contemplating a season pass next year. The mountain has so much potential, and with some investment could become the best in the area IMO. The only thing holding me back is the park, which needed a ton of work. Add some more park trails, and make them on par with the other hills in the area, and i can guarantee at least 5 pass holders next year with myself and friends.
  6. I should have known you would post something.
  7. Won this at a local event. Don't have a use for it. New, in box. I looked online and they generally sell for 250-300. So ill ask 200.
  8. Great day at Frost, as always.
  9. Originally went to Mountain creek to use my free ticket (WNEP card). I got there and it was pouring rain. I had a hunch it was snowing in the pokes. Looked at the radar, and it was. By the time i got to the tannersville exit on I-80, the road was starting to get covered. It snowed the entire time i was there, and was accumulating. Conditions were freaking awesome. Their park still blows goat, but the snow was soft and fast, with some trails being completely untracked. It was just a few inches, but still better than anything so far this season. Changed to snow at the Water Gap. As soon as i turned off of 80. snowing pretty hard Up top. Lift up. Lifties kept brushing off the chairs, but by the time they made it back to the bottom they were covered again. All in all, my best day of the season so far. I really do not like camelback all that much. I think the trails are boring and uninteresting, and the park is terrible. Cliffhanger today being the exception.
  10. ^Have you ever actually explained why you feel the need to put Robert2 down? I am genuinely interested in this.
  11. I personally think camelback has the right approach...A park specific area serviced by its own lift. No park pass, no lift access. And it does keep the newbs out, because they don't want to go through the hassle or pay for a park pass. It is not charge at CB if you have a season pass though. As long as there is a separate beginner area, with some ride on stuff and a small table top, its really a good way to go. BUT YEAH, DEAD HORSE.
  12. To be fair, Shawnee has a deep base on everything thats open. deeper than camelback for sure, the picture is a bit deceiving. There is a ton of snow in the park too, and the top is covered and even enough in the woods do do some quick tree shots on the side. I think they were holding off for this weekend to blast the mountain again, but conditions were good considering it was free (WNEP card).
  13. Shawnee
  14. Wow bear creek sounds like its been invaded since i was last there. Maybe if patrollers started pulling passes, especially for hitting closed/blocked off features, word would spread. Like how there are certain towns you don't dare do a mile over the speed limit in.
  15. Probably not the time to mention this, but whats with all the open areas on the far side? Looks like it could possibly be some nice glades on a good year. Btw, strong possibility sno will be my home mountain next year, especially if some legit upgrades to the hill are announced.
  16. And had a great time. First time back since it was montage. Pros: -Snow quality was amazing. -Park was better then expected. -North face is so much fun. -Food was good. -No crowds. -Pulled up right at the North face lift. Cons: -No crowds -Amount of snow on the mountain was deceptive. I feel that most of the trails on the top half are way too wide/trees need to be planted. There is full coverage, but when there are vast areas of grass and rock next to a trail, it looks like the area is struggling for coverage. I saw some very small trees marked with red tags (newly planted), but a few large trees should be planted around those areas so it looks like an attempt is being made. -Only one park. Most places have at least two, with each parking separating itself from the other by way of different features or difficulty. Sno would kill it if they marketed a park area...and had a legit park to back it up. Park was fun, but way below the standards set by most other hills. Still better than Camelsack this year. -No top to bottom lift midweek blows. Having to take two lifts to get a full run is lame. thoughts: Sno has a good mountain to work with. 1000 vert in PA is a blessing, and all of it should be utilized. Top to bottom lift should always be an option. New trails would be nice, as well as narrowing some down
  17. they need to put more effort into music selection.
  18. If your gonna bash something, at least present actual facts. Macs don't cost all that more, you may even save money in the long run, and anyone can work on a mac as long as they know how to use a screwdriver.
  19. the past few years their parks were pretty good. This year, holy shit. Terrible. There is no excuse, the snow is there. I am really bummed i got a pass to CB. Thats what i get for being cheap.
  20. i have one of these but don't see a plattekill ticket on mine.
  21. until temps hit the 50's again next week.
  22. ^well thats kinda fucked up.
  23. Spring actually has legit jibs this season. So really, what is the difference now? Most people on these forums go to bear to ride park, and now they can at spring. I have actually never had a bad time at spring and go at least once a year. Its a great place to take someone who has never ridden before and teach them, especially that one night a week where lift tickets are like next to nothing.
  24. I expected it to be worse. Just checked the cam, doesnt look like they lost all that much.
