jdew Posted December 7, 2007 Report Posted December 7, 2007 "Camelback will begin its 45th season this Saturday! Camelback Ski Area will open this Saturday, December 8, 2007. Camelback will have up to 18 trails open on Saturday, with a variety of terrain for all abilities." or "WE WILL BE OPENING FRIDAY DEC. 7TH FOR SKIING AND RIDING FROM 8:30AM TO 10:00PM. WE WILL HAVE 10 TRAILS INCLUDING LAZY MILE, ALL OF MAIN STREET, BARNEYS BUMPS, MIDWAY AND COME-A-ROUND PARK." 18, 10, 18, 10 Quote
IrishSnow686 Posted December 7, 2007 Report Posted December 7, 2007 and you can only ski/ride those 18 trails from 8-5pm vs Blue where you can ski/ride their 10 trails from 8:30 to 10pm. Camelback will eventually be open until 10pm w/ 100% terrain and Blue will eventually have their full terrain open as well. Decisions, decisions.. go where you want. If you want more trails, go to CB, if you want longer time or can't get to the mt. until after work/school, go to Blue. My point, who cares who is open w/ what... Both are open and offer different things. Enjoy it. Quote
AtomicSkier Posted December 7, 2007 Report Posted December 7, 2007 Wait until blue grooms out the huge piles on the rest of the trails. Main street takes as much snow as 4 of cb's trails Quote
stever2003 Posted December 7, 2007 Report Posted December 7, 2007 ah ha! "Camelback will have up to 18 trails open on Saturday" no guarantees there Quote
Timeless Posted December 7, 2007 Report Posted December 7, 2007 Blue had more than their advertised 10 trails open today anf it looked like they might have 2 or 3 more by tomorrow. Just hope it grooms out a little better tonight after a days traffic. Go where you like to ski, I don't think you would be disappointed with either. Quote
Schif Posted December 7, 2007 Report Posted December 7, 2007 At this point, CB and blue have similar verts. I'd give CB the edge because they will have a HSQ running. Quote
askier87 Posted December 7, 2007 Report Posted December 7, 2007 well, im glad im not the only one having the same toss up on where to head tomorrow Quote
librider Posted December 7, 2007 Report Posted December 7, 2007 Blue is charging full price. Eff that. Never thought I'd say this but.. Camelback for sure. Quote
askier87 Posted December 7, 2007 Report Posted December 7, 2007 i wish blue didnt kill student discounts on weekends Quote
method9455 Posted December 7, 2007 Report Posted December 7, 2007 Camelback - they have full vert and a good lift. Blue has full price tickets, less vert, slow double. Quote
Dave_S Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 Camelback - my loyalty has been reborn! Quote
