stbgskibum247 Posted January 8, 2008 Report Posted January 8, 2008 Conditions have been warm but soooooo much fun the past two days. I dont know about you guys but I love soft snow and skiing without a jacket. I cut the jump lines in cascade real nice today and the big jump at the bottom was getting hit a bunch when i left. Quote
dolfman261 Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 YEAHH!!! BC park crew killed it today, rails and jumps were all set up soo nice...suprisingly one of the funnest days i have had at bear even though it was 60 degrees...Keep up that good work. Quote
Rideburton Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 i just got back from bear creek, i dont know if anyone went to the other side of the mountain but there are nice jumps! timberline has two 30-40 foot step-up jumps with perfect landings. i couldnt get enough of them, rode them all night! Quote
FETT Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 Dude i totally agree with you....the booters on timberline tonight were amazing! Landings and take off have never been better. Keep up the good work bear! Quote
Mixilplix Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 I rode tonight and I thought the conditions were great..I didn't hang in the park, but the runs down Sasquatch and Timberline were nice..Fast,semisoft snow, and a perfect temp. When it gets this warm during the day,the riding is better at night. rgrwilco Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 (edited) would someone please tell me where these jumps on timberline were i did not see them. maybe because they were on cascade? Edited January 9, 2008 by vincent vega Quote
snowboarddude Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 there were not jumps on timberline i think they got timberline and cascade confused Quote
burton71 Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 I jumps in cascade last night were awesome. Quote
train36 Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 I was up there last night and it was pretty good, I like the setups in both parks alot. I fell pretty hard on the flat box , I got a little unbalanced going onto it and slipped out, it was pretty funny. Smacked my head pretty good on the box and then the ground, luckily I had the helmet on. Black Bear has a good flow to it , and I like the flat down box at the beginning. Quote
Tyler Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 today the jumps in cascade sucked, big jump was ok, it was rare to find a good lip and there are huge brown spots all over. tough day...but what can you expect from this weather Quote
snowboarddude Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 okay bear needs snow flex in 3 years they are goin to have an average high of 50 in the mid of dec and there isn't any chance of them making snow Quote

snowboarddude Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 to bad as of now there is no water in the ponds... the rain should help the ponds but it will hurt the snow Quote

snowboarddude Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 haha global warming.... well actualy i would just like to be able to board around the year rows know everything about the weather talk to him SNOWFLEX Quote
Saurus Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 the whole in the ozone isnt getting big enough yet to have that happen Quote
EAZY-Emuntz Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 (edited) Actually my science class did a study on this and global warming is at its worst now. The ozone can repair itself as long as we are not hammering it with all the bad sh*t we do. Since we are getting more "green", the ozone is slowly repairing itself. Therefore global warming is pretty much bullsh*t Edited January 10, 2008 by EAZY-Emuntz Quote
K2rider Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 Conditions at BARE creek weren't too good tonight but thats expectable with all this warm weather Quote

K2rider Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 Conditions tonight were surprisingly good. Way better than last night. There was even a new jump in the half pipe. Also the butter box was moved to the top of the half pipe and they got rid of the picnic table. Bears setup was real nice tonight for how much snow they only have. Quote
Snowbride08 Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 Hey, I'm new here, but not to BC. How are the conditions on the trails? I don't usually go into the park. I always go Fridays after work and stay until close. It's an hour drive from my house to my parents' house near BC, and if the conditions are crappy I might skip this week. From what you can make out on the webcams it looks really slushy. Quote
