Saurus Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 diamond it says u are from compton and it you name is diamond do i need to say more   hahah referring to the bearing/clothing company. And there is nothing ghetto about diamonds condsidering the fact they cost more than your life   I think bear should build a pyramid small jump with a bonk in the middle Quote
mollyskeez Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 i only hit the "anti jump" once but it felt pretty good to me. i like it because its a little different than the traditional step up or step down jumps. Quote
burton71 Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 Also id like to have some feed back about the jump i built in Black Bear, we are calling it the "Anti-Jump", I know i love it myself but i wanted to see what everyone else thinks of it. That was just a small trial sized feature of what we can possibly build if you like it. There can also be many different variations thrown into it.I like the concept and had a lot of fun on it last night, I really like the long mellow face of it. I think it would be really cool if it was a little bit steaper and wider for a little more pop and room to set up for spins. Quote
k2rider2690 Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 is this the jump where the down rail used to be or the one after the down flow box? Quote
Rab8 Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 is this the jump where the down rail used to be or the one after the down flow box? after the down flow box Quote
Saurus Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 after the down flow box   Is the down box setup urban? Quote
burton71 Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 Is the down box setup urban? Â It was earlier in the week, but got groomed a bit so its not quite urban. Still a lot of fun though. Quote
snowboarddude Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 that step down jump or anti jump is sick only think is i wish it had a little longer of a landing ramp  it is a sick feature Quote
k2rider2690 Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 Why make a new set up this Sunday? Sunday is supposed to be the coldest night and this whole weeks is supposed to be very cold. There just going to burry the features. I personally would wait cuz then u don't have to dig out the current features and two you have a ton more snow to work with. Quote
Tyler Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 i had fun on it tonight, i liked the setup of blackbear. cant wait to see the new cascade. thank you for putting the downrail back in. bear got 5+ inches from this little storm Quote
snowboarddude Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 tonight was great  conditions were perfect and the new setup was sick Quote
mollyskeez Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 ohhhhh i thought you guys were talking about the jump right next to the step down box. so just ignore my post.and i like the real anti jump but like others have said the landing should prob. be a little longer Quote
burton71 Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 like the real anti jump but like others have said the landing should prob. be a little longerWord. Little more kick and a longer landing and that thing would be awesome. Could probably build a really cool one in the tubing run on the head wall / roller before the big jump. Quote

AngryHugo Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 yeah, this is what's on BC's front page: Â We received 2 Quote
snowboarddude Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 it was probly only 2 inches but i'm with oakley it felt like 5+ inches Quote
lilmill Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 It may have only been 2 inches but it was def. the best conditions at bear in a long time. The "anit-jump" needs to have a little bit of a lip on the end Quote

EAZY-Emuntz Posted January 19, 2008 Report Posted January 19, 2008 Ruts and crap all night, but there was nothing the park crew could do because it was like either bead snow or iceeeee. that bleacher box is kinda fun setup straight, but you have to go sooooo slow. Quote
Saurus Posted January 19, 2008 Report Posted January 19, 2008 your just hatin cuz u cant act black becuz ur a GINGER Â Ginger? Â And wtf is up with the double c's take off? Why the hell did they make it straight on and not from the side. Quote
paolo Posted January 19, 2008 Report Posted January 19, 2008 Today was my first time back on snow since xmas. It was pretty good but a bit icy. The lips and landings were rutted, and i didnt really think the anti-jump was to great, but altogether i had a good time. Quote
Boarder1x9 Posted January 19, 2008 Report Posted January 19, 2008 man was stuff beat tonight, but like easy said it was like a sheet of ice with some bead snow on it, nothing could be done bout landing. yeah double C is set up supper weird, the jump in the halfpipe is sick, the sorta hip one. Quote
Tyler Posted January 19, 2008 Report Posted January 19, 2008 stuff was decent today, snow was really hard. cascade jumps were nice, the some of the boxes should have wider lips. the down rail and the bottom set of 4 jibs were all setup nicely. time to get rid of the hip and put that jump back in the pipe! Quote
mollyskeez Posted January 19, 2008 Report Posted January 19, 2008 yeah everything was set up very nicly today. today was one of my funnest days on snow so far this season. the first jump on skiers left of blackbear was very quarter pipe like in the morning... 2 ppl. got sent to the hospital then some guy shaved down the lip and made it have like no lip but it was still fun. alot of ppl. got taken down by ski patroll today and alot of ambulances were there too. overall it was a great day and it was ALOT less crowded than i thought it would be.
