moe ghoul Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 Any current update on the trails conditions, Rain or no rain, groomed/ungroomed would be appreciated. I don't park ride, so no need for that info. Quote
Blong131 Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 i really think they should just giv up on the pipe and put the urban set up box they had ther last year or 2 years ago i dont remember which Quote
EAZY-Emuntz Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 Is it snowing there right now? cause it doesnt look like the foggy/rainy weather that the whole area was supposed to get Quote

Just an observation from the webcam this afternoon. I'm goin up there tomorrow in the AM, bringing the rock skis just in case....... Quote

Cutting a halfpipe takes a lot more time than people know. Ideally we needed enough snow in there to completely fill it so that the decks of the halfpipe are level with the snow inside it. Quote
stbgskibum247 Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 if we cant cut it we should build some jumpers... Quote
mollyskeez Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 MAYBE JUST MAYBE could you guys put in some big rollers like the ones that used to be on the cut over from cascade to blackbear but a ilttle bigger? only if you dont cut the pipe. Quote
snowboarddude Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 too late they are working on the pipe now Quote
moe ghoul Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 TR for Bear Creek: Â Nothing I can add that hasn't been said. Nice facilities, charming ride thru Stixenhicksburg, nice place for park riders. Got there around 9:30, got my $12 extendo pass, and skied Mt. Assboyle (Extreme and Sasquatch) until I got sick of sitting on a lift. Snow was mashie with a mix of italian ice.....yellow. Sunny and 39, underarmour, turtle neck and Karbon vest were plenty. Sasquatch had a shoulder's worth of bumps, badly rutted. Â Conclusion: The Time Riding on Lift to Actual Time Skiing ratio is off the charts. I woulda rather spent the sitting time in my car going to Blue and skiing 5 times as much. Â Otherwise, if I was a parkrider, lived within 15 minutes, and could ski/board on weekdays, it seems like a nice local destination. I woulda slit my wrists if there was ANY wait for the lifts. Must be a zoo on the weekends. Quote
mollyskeez Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 too late they are working on the pipe now oh well i only wanteed that if they didnt get and actual pipe. Quote
snowboarddude Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 it only took them 3/4 the season to get it open  i hope it gets filled in Quote
JibHonk Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 well dont worry the pipe will suck by monday just like all the other times Quote
moe ghoul Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 I saw a few cats pushing around yellow snow, but I don't know squat about pipe construction. They were still monkeying around with it when I left around 2. Quote
Saurus Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 Hahaha i remember a few years ago i was like you know how much better it would be if there was a line of jumps and rails inplace of the halfpipe. Well next year the pipe is goneee Quote
