Mixilplix Posted December 25, 2007 Report Posted December 25, 2007 I rode from late morning to early afternoon and didn't it was all bad.The snow was soft but not real mushy. There are some thin spots but thats to be expected with the weather we've been having.I like the bleacher set up. Quote
petter369 Posted December 25, 2007 Report Posted December 25, 2007 killington had better conditions in may last year... and your point is...Vermont gets pounded with all the storms that turn to rain at Bear Creek. Besides, its not like Bear wants to have bad conditions, they have blown as much snow as they can and have not gotten any help from mother nature. As far as I am concerned, skiing Bear Creek is early december is good enough for me. Quote
lilmill Posted December 25, 2007 Report Posted December 25, 2007 i think bears conditions are great for the kind of cover they have. Everyone was asking for urban set ups, and they gave em to us. They could have a rails on cascade but i'm not gonna complain the new setup is pretty nice and the flat drop flat rail is so much nicer now that they leveled it out Quote
k2rider2690 Posted December 25, 2007 Report Posted December 25, 2007 did bear blow last night? cuz looking at the web cams there doesnt seem to be many brown spots, but when i was there yesterday morning there were alot. anyone know? Quote

I talked to Mark today and asked him about making snow last night. He said they were able to make snow at a few locations for only a couple of hours. Not very productive.(sigh) Quote
dolfman261 Posted December 25, 2007 Report Posted December 25, 2007 conditions were actually really good today. Slushy but lips to everything were good...they will prob get to blow snow tonight. Quote
snowboarddude Posted December 26, 2007 Report Posted December 26, 2007 i think it should be called big hit Quote
mollyskeez Posted December 26, 2007 Report Posted December 26, 2007 i dont think they even have an official name for it... but i like tubing park. Quote
lilmill Posted December 26, 2007 Report Posted December 26, 2007 i like tubign park too, but i really just want to know when they're gonna start putting jumps on it i cant wait Quote
Tyler Posted December 26, 2007 Report Posted December 26, 2007 not bad today, blowing snow last night was a big help. some of the landings were awful, like the flat box. Quote
k2rider2690 Posted December 26, 2007 Report Posted December 26, 2007 should i head up tonight or is it gonna be a waste? Quote
Tyler Posted December 26, 2007 Report Posted December 26, 2007 its snowboarding man, who cares. it shouldnt be terrible, it will prolly get icey and the landings will be getting worse but still...just go Quote
mollyskeez Posted December 26, 2007 Report Posted December 26, 2007 yep today was pretty nice conditions. the flatbox landing was weird and the jump too, they just had a bunch of loose snow after them. Quote
stbgskibum247 Posted December 26, 2007 Report Posted December 26, 2007 The snow today wasnt very cooperative...we spent a lot of time filling ruts but they would just re-appear after 30 or so riders stomped in the same exact spot. I'd like to be able to at least keep all the lips on the larger stairset in very nice shape as consistently as possible, so please try not to ride over the wooden top and stairs. The entire area surrounding the stairset should be kept as clear of people as possible, especially towards the end of the battleship box and over in the blind spot after the steps. I understand that the location of the small jump causes a lot of congestion in that area, but that will be changed soon. Educating people who dont understand reasonable park etiquette will go a long way, so lend some helpful tips to people you see creating dangerous situations. Quote
paolo Posted December 26, 2007 Report Posted December 26, 2007 No more skiing for me this year i already broke my wrist. its the third year in a row this has happened to me. Quote
Rowsdower Posted December 27, 2007 Report Posted December 27, 2007 People need to watch out between the flow box and the up box. Kids were standing not even 10 feet from the landing at some points. Quote
Saurus Posted December 27, 2007 Report Posted December 27, 2007 The park today looked like it got ruphied and Banged by a bunch of drunken frat guys Quote
