i'm optimistic yet its doubtful they will keep the whole mt. open they might attempt to keep something open to please some folk the last thing i want is a repeat of last year

No its not.. Its Dec. 9th and I already have 14 days on snow. This time last year I had like 3.

If bear does wind up closing due to warm weather and rain they will be able to bounce back quickly with the awesome new snowmaking setup

the only problem is the ponds are getting low.... that should not be an issue after this week of rain

People keep saying the ponds are low they didn't look to bad yesterday and besides even if they are a little low given a week of rain fall and just flat out down time from blowing snow those ponds should be totally full again, not to mention as grilledsteeze said cold rain isn't the worst thing out there as long as they groom and cover and bare spots that pop up they're fine.
