So I started the day off by reseting my alarm to 7:45 instead of 6:45 after I woke up and heard the sleet hammering hard on the windows. I'm not one for 7:30a.m. openings anyway, sooo east coast... Anyway, roads were ice rinks in the residential areas, but fine on the main roads that were treated. Got up there and waited around to see who would show up and ended up heading out on the hill around 9:45. Lots of fun with a sugary surface, good fun for surfy style slashes and playing aroud on the banks. They were blowing all day till it started raining around 1pm. People said the bumps were great but unfortunately I was skiing the back bowls of Lazy and didn't make it to the main face of Main Street. I was having so much fun I just stayed out with a few kids while it rained and did a few laps in the park after exchanging skis. Park crew was out and they were doing a great job with the features given the conditions. Saw them out two times and they kept things prime. Came in soaked, stoked, and glad to grab a cold one.

They were also pushing Burma out. Opening tomorrow or midweek?

Sounds like it was OK. I had my alarm set just in case but it was pouring here so I decided to stay home. I'll be up tomorrow or tuesday anyway so I'm not worried about it.

And they should be opening Burma soon....along with Paradise. They need to get more green slopes open.

Just got back from the night session. Got to Blue just before 5, on the slopes just after 5. Snow was nice, the storms of earlier had passed, and heading up was definitely a good idea. We hit every run there. Everything had some sugar on the sides but was kinda skied off in the middle. The wind really picked up at the end, was blowing the main street lift around on the trip back to the top lodge. I ran into a friend who'd been there since earlier, he said everything cleared up in the afternoon and everything was great after 4, so it was a decent night for anyone who got out.
