Rab8 Posted February 18, 2008 Report Posted February 18, 2008 yeah me and my friends built that one with some random pole we found in the woods, but its prolly for the better that they closed if b/c that pole wasnt very safe. their building a real one soon, off the cliff prob and their gonna put a landing for it, should be pretty legit i thought it looked legit already cept that there were threads at the end. Â the pole jam they build should just come out of the ground at a steep angle like one you'd skate. i feel if it went off the cliff you wouldnt get enough speed to hit it properly. Quote
EAZY-Emuntz Posted February 18, 2008 Report Posted February 18, 2008 if they do end up puttin it off the cliff they should put it close to the tree bonk cause other wise you will have no speed and that the defeats the point of a pole jam Quote
Gary-BCparkcrew Posted February 18, 2008 Report Posted February 18, 2008 As far as I know that pole jam was just some kids idea that was actually fairly legit. It's not official but we didn't take it out yet. I don't know of any plans of putting off the cliff either, but it wouldn't be the first time I was wrong. Quote
nick Posted February 18, 2008 Report Posted February 18, 2008 (edited) That was me and my friends who built the pole jam on cascade, but like i said before it does need to be take out b/c its not a very safe pole. And i was talking to tim (on park crew) and he was the one that had the idea about putting it off the cliff, i think it was just that though, an idea. Im not sure if he talked to anyone about it.... Saurus Posted February 18, 2008 Report Posted February 18, 2008 no a pole jam shouldnt be like one you would normally hit on a snowboard. See how fun it is with that wack ass transition. Its fine the way it is now Quote

mollyskeez Posted February 18, 2008 Report Posted February 18, 2008 i was wondering if anyone else seems to catch alot of edges on bears rails?? it seems to happen when i do switch ups and flat rotations i think if anything it would be your board not the rails. Quote
burton71 Posted February 18, 2008 Report Posted February 18, 2008 i was wondering if anyone else seems to catch alot of edges on bears rails?? it seems to happen when i do switch ups and flat rotations Is your board detuned? I don't think I have caught an edge on any of the boxes or rails at bear. Quote
mollyskeez Posted February 18, 2008 Report Posted February 18, 2008 you doneally have to get ur stuff detuned. just hit rails over and over.i never got the skis i have now detuned and i can hit rails all day and not catch one edge. Quote
Rowsdower Posted February 18, 2008 Report Posted February 18, 2008 I detuned my board and now I can't turn. Â I love it. Quote

Tyler Posted February 20, 2008 Report Posted February 20, 2008 the big jump in tubing needs to be built with a bigger takeoff and steeper landing. build it exactly like the jumps in boulder park, they definetly know how to build jumps. Quote

burton71 Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 The land of the top jump could really use some light. The jump was perfect yesterday during the day, but once it got dark it was impossible to spot the landing on spins. Quote
snowboarddude Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 the top jump in black bear really needs a light the landing is blind Quote
Blong131 Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 I third the motion for more lighting...that landing is mad blind at night Quote
