snowboarddude Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 if by a u mean the up flow gap to down flow that was the sickest feature all year besides the butterpad Quote
JibHonk Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 butterpad was a beast it scard the shit out of me everytime i hit it Quote
burton71 Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 butterpad was a beast it scard the shit out of me everytime i hit it Thats shit was fun as hell, hope we get soem steady cold weather to get another one of those set up. Quote
k2rider2690 Posted January 20, 2008 Report Posted January 20, 2008 are we gonna ever see a jump line like previous years in blackbear??? Quote
Rowsdower Posted January 20, 2008 Report Posted January 20, 2008 I was up yesterday and seriously that butterpad is a joke. The landing is way too big, way too steep, and all the noobs who can only hit boxes put a huge rut in the landing. The fact that the drop off is big makes it worse. Move that thing somewhere else, somewhere flatter. Quote

snowboarddude Posted January 20, 2008 Report Posted January 20, 2008 that jump is sick but now that we have the new set up at the bottom of the hill (no jumps) and the anti jump that is sick and the jump you get no air on there is not really a jump to get warmed up on Quote

You can hit the entire jump line and still cut over to the anti jump. Quote
JibHonk Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 yea about the cut over can park crew just take that otherpeice of the fence down its a pain in the ass to jump it plus its kinda a thing only the locals who can do shit know about Quote
Saurus Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 hahah a landing being too steep? ive never heard of such a thing at bear. They are normally way too mellow like all the kickers they have setup. They need to make all of the landings alot steeper on the jumps and they need to cut the lips down on the jumps on cascade, they kick you up way too much Quote
snowboarddude Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 wasn't there goin to be a new thing this year called park patrol??? to keep the noobs that fall ever ten seconds out of the good parks it is plan and simple that 70% of the damage done to lips and landings are from them Quote
JibHonk Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 (edited) hahah me and zep were on the double today saw a kid fall off the anti-jump lose his ski and helmet(which rolled all the way past the wall) at the landing then proceed to climb up the BLIND landing on one ski.. he kept fallin and yea i think park patrol is a good idea becuz this kid was extremely lucky he wasnt bear creeks 2nd bonk. the new set-up will be just in time for MLK but that new step up box should make for a day of entertainment i'm thinkin of just chillin in a chair watchin people eat shit Edited January 21, 2008 by Youngbloodz Quote
paolo Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 haha i saw some little girl roll over the anti jump, land right on her face, and then proceed to stand right behind the lip for 5 minutes. Quote
EAZY-Emuntz Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 Today when i was there I took the time to get a detailed look at all of the rails that are sitting out by the pond right next to the new quad. I mean they have some good rails out there and im pretty sure i saw the superman box, some of those boxes/rails need to be set up Quote
snowboarddude Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 set up looks great on the web cams can't wait to ride it in an hour Quote
EAZY-Emuntz Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 I thought the dfd was supposed to be after the "cliff" Quote
Rowsdower Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 Whats the deal with the drop rail? I swear thats the most retarded thing I've ever seen... we'll not really but its up there. Quote
snowboarddude Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 i hit it like 5 times but the lip up to it was bad and it looked kind of bent it seemed that they did a really crappy grooming job last night Quote
mollyskeez Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 it seemed that they did a really crappy grooming job last night they redid the entire park and put some more stuff in black bear so the grooming was actually pretty good considering. Quote
Tyler Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 why are most of the jumps they put in lately so poppy, why cant we have some that are pretty mellow? build every jump after the one that was in the pipe Quote
snowboarddude Posted January 22, 2008 Report Posted January 22, 2008 (edited) i agree that we need a nice 10 ft jump that is good for spinning on (for beginners and for warming up) like the jump that was after the stairset i was gettin 540's and tryin 7's off it hahha got sorta close to the 7 but it was probly luck because it was hard to spin that quick Edited January 22, 2008 by Mini Zep Quote
Saurus Posted January 22, 2008 Report Posted January 22, 2008 word , make me some mellow jumperss Quote
Tyler Posted January 22, 2008 Report Posted January 22, 2008 (edited) a nice 25-35 footer with a mellow lip would be perfect to spin on. Edited January 22, 2008 by Oakley21 Quote
snowboarddude Posted January 22, 2008 Report Posted January 22, 2008 i bet when big hit gets set up like last year we well get some good jumps for spinning Quote
