burton71 Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 as mini zep said in another thread, lower the butter box, and get rid of the huge drop off afterwordThey should set it back up with the picnic table, that was a sick set up. Quote
k2rider2690 Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 hell no that was so gay...that 420 is a freakin giant butter box that is so good for learning new tricks, which is why it shouldn't be so high and a big drop off. Quote
JibHonk Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 yah i hate the butter box its got basically no landing and a 10 foot drop on either side...face it bear taht is not an expert box it will be rutted and will require more maintaince but its worth it to make the customers happy just make a landing and make it about 2-3 feet off the ground maybe even lower Quote
k2wwwkid Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 true that  Bear needs to put in a butter pad again Quote

I do agree that it sucks how it is set up now, but that picnic table set up was sick and prior to that it was setup really well too. Quote
Another Wall Posted January 28, 2008 Author Report Posted January 28, 2008 I have already given a lot of suggestions, but honestly if you guys at bear ever run out of ideas go on transworldsnowboarding.com and check any video with Bear mountain CO in it. They have arguably one of the most creative parks in the country and in their jib parks all their setups are completely doable for bear. Everybody should check them out and report what you like. k2rider2690 Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 the 420 box is finally low, they moved it to the bottom by the quad and put in a down box in place of the 420 box Quote
Rowsdower Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 Huzzah  I'll go once this rain stops. Quote
ruckusboarder Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 down flat down is in off the cliff drop Quote
Saurus Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 (edited) they should set the butterbox up on like a pyramid for skateboarding   Whallah> It has multiple hit options which optimizes fun outake   Edited January 30, 2008 by Diamond Quote
snowboarddude Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 thank u bear, the 4 20 is perfect Quote
k2rider2690 Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 are u talking about the 420 box ontop of that mound?? Even so that is slot of lips to try and keep nice Quote
snowboarddude Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 i don't think it was on top of a mound yesterday   i hope they don't change it it is perfect Quote
burton71 Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 That would be awesome. Its kinda lame the way it is setup now. Quote
Hallraker Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 true that Bear needs to put in a butter pad again   the anti-jump works well as a butter pad kind of like the feature last year without the jump onto it, try it out.  the pyramid idea for the 420 box looks cool on paper, but it would use a lot of snow that could best be used elsewhere i think. Saurus Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 are u talking about the 420 box ontop of that mound?? Even so that is slot of lips to try and keep nice   Haha word about the lips, but the cool thing is about the lips is that not everyone will be hitting it on just one place, so it could actually last longer Quote
Rowsdower Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 An octagon box would be ace for a funbox like Diamond has posted. Â Note to Bear: invest in octagon box. Quote
Hallraker Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 An octagon box would be ace for a funbox like Diamond has posted. Note to Bear: invest in octagon box.  a box that is an octagon would be sick. Quote
Rowsdower Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 Got a little sketch of my ideas here. Â I think the half octagon box set on top of a bank or a quarter pipe would be way more trick-able than the bleacher box they have now. Â By imlayered at 2008-01-30 Quote
Saurus Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 the octy boxy is baller but i was just saying they can setup there butterbox like that now if they wanted too Quote
Boarder1x9 Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 the octagon fun box's side would have to be slanted, i guess just like the thing blue has, haven't ridden it so i dun know how it is but it looks cool. Quote
Rowsdower Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 They could use the 4x20 but if they're stumped on new ideas for stuff why not try it? Quote
mollyskeez Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 i think that little thing with the 420 box or octagon box on top would get rutted wwwwaaaaaayyyyy too quickly... just look how fast the 420 gets rutted when its 2 feet off the ground. same thing when its 5 foot drop. Quote
