Gurp Posted January 1, 2005 Report Posted January 1, 2005 (edited) Is it me or is boulder getting alittle sloppy with theie park. Last years opening park had a hip and some rails. This year its already january and theyre park has what 6 boxes? It sucks balls. Expecially the c box. its a freaking inch off the ground and sucks balls. Only box i kinda like is the Down Flat Down, which im still diapointed in Edited January 1, 2005 by Gurpskier Quote
insomniac Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 Dude, ITS ONE DAY INTO JANUARY! Give them a break, it hasnt been the best season. Stop complaining. Quote
Glenn Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 Comparing this season to last especially with things like jumps just isn't going to work. The temps haven't been right to blow huge amounts of snow, so the materials just arent there to make great jumps. Although, if you really want to hit some, blue has some pretty decent jumps setup right now. Quote
soldier32 Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 yea andrew dont say stuff like that, it makes boulder look bad. and the reason that they dont have rails up yet is because they probably dont have a deep enough base to have rails yet. the rails would be wobbling back and forth and everything. soldier32 Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 dude is it possible to delete this thread? because i really dont like it here. its making boulder look bad just with the name Quote

If you feel something isn't right make intelligent coments on why you think it is not right, don't just hide everything you don't agree with. Edited January 2, 2005 by dthmtluncrn Quote
soldier32 Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 no i just dont want people to think that boulders park is bad because it really isnt. even though it was all boxes, i loved their park the other day. and its still got a lot more than a lot of the other mountains around here Quote

Gurp Posted January 2, 2005 Author Report Posted January 2, 2005 (edited) they had enough snow to put in a double barrel rail were that flat box was. Dont give me that shit about not enough of a base. that box is higher than all the other boxes. i doubt that theres a huge mound of dirt under it. And how come Cb, blue, and jf have rails and jumps already? Edited January 2, 2005 by Gurpskier Quote
Gurp Posted January 2, 2005 Author Report Posted January 2, 2005 Im not saying the park sucked totally, i saying they need to get off theyre lazy asses and try alittle harder to get something better up. Quote
insomniac Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 They're getting the new shit out. They MAY put all the boxes on Tannenbaum and all the rails on Boulder. You never know. Quote
Glenn Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 Rails aren't as stable as boxes, plus I don't think BB's snowmaking is at the same level as CB and definately not at the same level of blue. So thats why they can afford to build hits. Quote
soldier32 Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 yea but i dont think hes even worried about jumps. he just wants to see some rails rather than all boxes Quote
Glenn Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 yea but i dont think hes even worried about jumps. he just wants to see some rails rather than all boxes <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, like I said, boxes are more stable, they have a wide base, they don't really need to be buried hardly at all. Rails on the other hand have no stability without snow. Quote
insomniac Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 A jump, even that crap hip, would be nice. Quote
Gurp Posted January 2, 2005 Author Report Posted January 2, 2005 (edited) craiges starting to agree with me, i dont care about a jump cause theyres always crap sidetrail jumps to play with, but i want a rail. Edited January 2, 2005 by Gurpskier Quote
insomniac Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 Something with a landing would be nice though. And, I wasnt really agreeing with you. Quote
train36 Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 I am sure Boulders park will get better. I was up at Bear Creek and they have a mix of rails and boxes but mostly rails and about 4 jumps setup. Anyone know how blues park is, is there any new features? Quote

Anyone know how blues park is, is there any new features? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Blues park was real nice. They had the drop down rail, battleship, hippo, rainbow, flat down, box and mailbox. They also had at least 4 jumps, and a roller. Everything was real big, definitely worth checking out. Quote
Schif Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 At least you have a park. Montage is no where near even having that trail open yet, let alone have enought snow for jumps. Quote
Sno Mountain Skier Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 schifdawg were you there last night. on lower runaway we had a kicker that was good. usaually everyday we bring up a shovel and build a jump on something new. boomer has 2 chute jumps on the left side that are alright. but i wouldnt expect a park until january 20th or even later. thats what one of the guys wearing the yellow coats told me yesterday. Quote
Schif Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 Yeah I was there. I was riding with 3 other boarders. We probobly saw each other but just didn't know. That jump you guys built was nice. I spent a lot of time on boomer though. There were 3 chute jumps and a little cliff drop on the left that were pretty good. Everything was rediculously bumpy too, it was great. Quote
train36 Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 Its good to hear Blue's park is looking good. The only reason I didn't get a season pass there is because their park sucked last year, so I'm up at Bear for the year. I wanna get to Blue soon and check it out. Quote
soldier32 Posted January 26, 2005 Report Posted January 26, 2005 (edited) im sorry, poor choice of words on what i had in this post earlier. but dont be dissing boulder park, maybe you should learn to hit the stuff that they have before you talk crap about it Edited January 26, 2005 by NITRO_rider Quote
