poconoceancity Posted January 5, 2005 Report Posted January 5, 2005 Did anyone see Dave K on NBC 10? Quote
soldier32 Posted January 5, 2005 Report Posted January 5, 2005 nope, but ive seen him on wnep before at the beginning of the season when snowmaking first started Quote
AtomicSkier Posted January 5, 2005 Report Posted January 5, 2005 Usually DaveyJ does the interviews, cause hes more of a people person ...but nonetheless, hopefully they're gettin some snow Quote
skidude Posted January 5, 2005 Report Posted January 5, 2005 Yes hopefully they are. I didn't see dave on tv... but I did see them running a shot of the bottom of the dimonds after the news Quote
poconoceancity Posted January 5, 2005 Author Report Posted January 5, 2005 There showing camelback about every 5 minutes on NBC 10 and the snow is really coming down...I wish I was there... Quote
ThinkSnow Posted January 5, 2005 Report Posted January 5, 2005 What would we do without Ski999? Quote
Ski Posted January 5, 2005 Report Posted January 5, 2005 Sorry, Think, but years from now I'll be on some message board posting nasty things about that guy after what he did. Not that I hold a grudge... Quote
AtomicSkier Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 Ski999, I agree what he did/threatened was wrong...and we all know, you would NEVER hold a grudge Quote
emtp563 Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 I captured some of the CB video from NBC10 tonight. They only played a 15 second clip on the 11p.m. news tonight :-( They were more interested in the rain in Allentown tonight for some reason. HERE is the video. Quote
Glenn Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 Hah, so much for the fresh coating of "real" snow. More like fresh coating of real "ice" with some beatiful stuff underneath, just out of reach. Quote
skidude Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 Hmm sharpen your edges and you can get to the freeshies Quote
AtomicSkier Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 thanks for the capture! they claim they got 1" of new snow, and racerchick said she got 3", so maybe for the first time, camelback had a conservative estimate! Quote
emtp563 Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 (edited) I just came from Camelback. There is a pretty bad ice storm going on up there. Trees down all over Camelback Rd. I was barely able to make it out. I had to drive off the road through a ditch just to get by one of the trees down across Camelback Road. Traffic was all jammed and there were no road crews any where around. This was a couple of hours ago (4:00 p.m.) I tried to make it to my parents house on Wilke Road (off the hairpin curve on CB Road), but the road was impassable. There were at least a half-dozen trees down across the road. I had a chain saw with me, but there were just to many trees, plus there was shit falling down all around me and it was just too dangerous so I got the hell out of there. Here are a couple of pics from Wilke Rd.: Edited January 6, 2005 by emtp563 Quote
skidude Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 Great pics...Kinda sucks, but really look cool Quote

skifreak Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 Wow, that looks really cool... You carry a chainsaw arround? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, or were you cutting something down earlier Quote
Glenn Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 You can see the powerline holding that one tree up, thats hangin over the middle of the road <{POST_SNAPBACK}> YIKES I didn't even notice that before. Quote
romemadman Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 dude that must have been scary i saw some picture of ice trees north of me(we only got rain) the trees were falling left and right and there was like an inch of ice on the branches Quote
pyro_boarder Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 Just standing outside yesterday you would hear branches cracking and falling down every miniut or so. It was pritty bad. But on the bright side we've had 3 days off school and now its the weekend. Quote
Timeless Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 Just standing outside yesterday you would hear branches cracking and falling down every miniut or so. It was pritty bad. But on the bright side we've had 3 days off school and now its the weekend. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've got three trees down outside my house, one of which hit it (small one luckily), no power, no water (no power = no well pump) and ppl saying they'll try and get it back on before monday but no promises. Looks like I'll have to spend all weekend at CB instead More ice predicted tonight, I should have moved to Colorado..... Quote
