K2Skier Posted January 23, 2008 Report Posted January 23, 2008 Anyone have any tips, favorite routes, advice, etc. for driving to Belleayre from the I-80 Bartonsville area? There seems to be several options, depending on which website or GPS device you use. Thanks in advance. Quote

method9455 Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 What are the options? Does it recommend 80->287->Thruway? Quote
Glenn Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 From bartonsville take 209 -> 84 -> 87 -> Local route # (29?) to belleyre. 209 is a nice drive, just as fast if not faster than 287 and you can drive pretty fast if thats your thing, and are comfortable passing on 2 lane roads. Quote
JaySkisBig Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 Mapquest is really straight forward from Bartonsville. Glenn hit the nail on the head with his post. The only area that might be confusing is when exiting 87N (NYS Thruway) at exit 19 (Kingston), and when getting on Rt 28 W, stay right before the circle (round-a-bout). Also, watch out for speed traps on Rt28. Local law enforment use cars that look more like forest rangers and DEC cars/trucks then the typical police cruiser. HAVE FUN!!! Quote
