sibhusky Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 Seems to me it's so hard to even find a place that rents tele equipment that it would be worth giving up a day to try it all out conveniently located. Too bad they're not offering lessons, too. Quote
Kyle Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 I don't think I've ever seen teles in the park. You have to admit... it would be interesting. i've seen it Quote
kragan Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 One of Warren Miller's latest flix has a guy killing it in the park on tele's ... maybe one of the most amazing things I have seen. Quote
Justin Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 I've seen people telemark on twin tips doing boxes at Stowe. Quote
stbgskibum247 Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 I can hit pretty much any rail or box that I can hit alpine on tele skis too. Spin on, spin off...You just need to be really comfortable in tele gear which is a bit hard to do in in the first place. If anybody wants tele lessons send me a pm and I'll see if I can help you out. I've helped teach multiple ski patrollers at camelback, a handful of ski racers, some instructors of varying skiing ability, two snowboarders that had never skiied before, and many others. With the somewhat recent advances in telemark equipment the sport has been growing rapidly and riders of all abilities can learn if they want to. Myself, my brother and my dad all telemark and are always willing to give advice to those who ask. There is a strong group of pinners on the Camelback ski patrol and they are all very approachable, along with a VERY large group that can often be found taking over Camelback on the weekends. The best way to push your progression is to ride with people who are better than you, so make tele friends!! Quote
Maksim Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 Actually saw two people on tele's this sunday night at Blue. Quote
