skifreak Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 Well I am well over due for a ski trip this weekend because I haven't been on the snow since 12/26 and thats when my dad got hurt. I was wondering who was up at blue lately because I was planning on heading up tomorrow night and maybe either on saturday or sunday or both days. I was wondering what the snow is like, any bare spots, ice, etc. Let me know. Quote
lurker Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 Just from what I've heard, they still have tons of trails open, and in pretty good conditions too. Better than Camelback right now by far. Quote
Justin Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 yeah their conditions were OK when i went last saturday, some bare spots on lazy mile and midway, but overall good conditions for like 60 degrees. the snow started to melt in the afternoon, the lift hill was literally a puddle at the quad... Glenn Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 Things were real nice tues. when I was up there, don't know what the snow/ice/rain made things like. Coverage should be good though. It beats camelback and probobly any other mountain around here for the time being anyways. Quote
Zonked Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 I'll be up at blue the 29th.. so hopefully more snow will fall and everything gets really nice Quote

Glenn Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 check out blues cam (thursday) the visablity is poor as all hell <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, but you can never tell with that, cos the resolution is so poor. Quote
AtomicSkier Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 Yeah, but you can never tell with that, cos the resolution is so poor. yea, i can't even see main street, which is bad...i've skiied in REALLY thick fog in VT, chrisjur knows what im talking about, as he was there when i was....couldn't see the quad in front of you. but night skiing + fog has to be REALLY bad.... It was only at the top of the mountain though. It was the worst fog I've ever been in though. REALLY scary to ride through. Plus, you didn't have any peripheral so you ended up riding way faster than you should have, cos you just didn't realize how fast you were going. Quote
skifreak Posted January 7, 2005 Author Report Posted January 7, 2005 Yeah the second time I was there this season it was foggy but then later in the day it was only foggy in the summit but fine in the midddle and lower sections of the mountain. Quote
