Today ranked in the top two days this year, along with last Tuesday. Exhibition, Demattes, T-bolt, and Floyd's had about three inches of dry, fluffy powder on top of groomed cord :drool:drool . Having snow fly up to your knees, on Floyd's, has been a rarity this year. Rivershot was kind of chunky, because they had to groom it over from yeasterday. Anybody who didn't get out first thing at 8am, really did themself an injustice. It was 19 degrees, but felt warmer. The snow stayed really light until about 9:30, when a shot of sleet came in. I took off at about 10, since my goggles froze up. It then started to snow heavily on my way home :banghead .

I agree completely!! Today was my first day on my new season pass for JFBB I got there just before 9 and had 22 runs in by 11:28 when I looked at my phone thinking it was later. Tons of POW.. like BDK said it did start to change to freeezing rain and my goggles were coated at one point as well... (I actually appreciated the longer lift ride at that point as it gave me time to work on clearing my goggles) The freezing rain left quickly though and it started to snow HARD!! Huge flakes.. It snowed the whole time I was there but it was getting very light beginning around 1:30. The challenge glade run off to the right was my favorite run of the day... It's unmarked, and a little too easy to find, but ohhh sooo nice... 6 feet wide at max... deep pow, in the trees and steep runoff to boot.. This was easily the best run I've been on all season anywhere. Floyd's was nice early am, then got scraped a little bit into piles with some bare (icy) spots on it.. River shot was chunky but super fun to straightline on.. I attempted to take a run under the east mtn chairlift near the top above river shot and snnow wasn't dep enough... scraped the snot out of my bases on a pebble field... unhooked and went back to action.. That was my gaper move of the day...lol I was still finding untracked powder at noon- 1pm on ONE park and the woods along side of it. The park was empty and everyone must've just forgot it was even there because it was just money for most of the day... I ended the day with 42runs in all and was home by 4:45pm. My butt was frozen to the chairlift all day, but oooh so worth it to ski in conditions like that... note to self... need to wear extra clothing compared to normal when skiing at JF and spending more time on the lifts...lol

glad you had a nice time at your new mountain, Phillycore. I have to get to Frost one of these days just to switch it up. You and Bigdaddyk must be in some great shape to do that # of runs. On an average day we only do 12-16.

Me in great shape....lol NOT!!

I don't think I could do over 40 runs at blue... well not unless I spent an entire day there and took breaks..

I didn't take a break today at all... I had plenty of recovery time on the lift rides...

I wish they had those padded lift chairs like blue has though... darn my butt got so cold it's not even funny...

I got to figure something out for that... well insulated pants would have helped a lot too...
