Melissa
Has anyone been up to enjoy all the snow? As I type this (3:45 pm), it is still snowing in Scranton. If you've been up, how is the access road? Conditions amazing I bet? My car is fine in the snow, but I don't like to push it, especially with that hill being kind of curvy. Curiosity killed the cat, but hopefully it doesn't get me stuck in the snow. I'm going up now. If I don't post a TR by 6:30, please send out the search party to canvas the area between the Sno parking lot and the River Street exit. Melissa
What does that even mean? Smileys are so confusing! OKay, went up for a little bit and it was def. fun, but def. a thigh burner! I could totally tell that I hadn't been to plyometrics in over a month!! It snowed the whole time I was there (except for like 5-10 minutes of sleeting). Center of the trails were all tracked out, but the sides were untracked. I'd say maybe 7-8 inches? Got a few runs in and then came home. FYI, it is still snowing steadily here in Scranton! OH, access road was perfectly plowed. Main roads are fine too, including 81. The ruts and bumps made it interesting but very tiring. I'll be back Sunday (I'm old. I need a day to recover) ...
snoskier
Wow. Great day today. I wasn't planning on staying as long as I did, but conditions were so nice I couldn't leave. Like melissa said the sides were untracked in a lot of places. Even at the end switch had fresh spots by the trees. Easily top 2 days this season! White was great they blew a ton of snow and the new snow was helping to make some great little bumps. I only did white a couple times because I switched over to my tele skis. Wiping out in powder is always fun. Tomorrow snould be nice. They were cranking the guns as I left.

BCBSNOBBSkier
The Moguls on white lightning and smoke were insane due to the huge amount of snow that got dumped on the mountain
Ski
The Moguls on white lightning and smoke were insane due to the huge amount of snow that got dumped on the mountain The bumps were also courtesy of the snowmakers. They blew all over the mountain last night in some insane effort to increase the 120" base. Even Upper Runaway was closed yesterday and at least most of today for groomers to spread the snow whales. Cannonball had a few inches of smokey powder on top this morning, which is a blast. WL looked like an egg crate from the bottom...good stuff.
