toast21602 Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 and thats switchback that they are racing on. actually... i have no idea where some of that racing took place. most of it looks like switchback because of those turns. Quote
Bobert540 Posted February 27, 2008 Author Report Posted February 27, 2008 Woops I must have accidentally deleted the link when I edited it. Thanks for the link toast! Quote
Ski Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 That's a great find, Bob (and Toast). I like the quote from the French guy: "If there was no racing taking place, I don't think I'd be skiing in the Poconos." And even though it would be classified as a Super G instead of a DH (there were no SG's back then) it's pretty amazing how they only ran with single netting. It's lucky nobody died, especially with all the pre-releases going on in the one right hand turn with trees on the left. It would be sick it they had a downhill on Switchback...I'd t$$ty F@ck that course.. If they held SG's and DH's in the Poconos, you'd be uber famous by now, Doug. Metzy would never touch you on a speed course, unless a meteor hit you. j/k about the last part Quote
Melissa Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 Ohhh, now I want to watch Top Gun! Quote
phillycore Posted February 28, 2008 Report Posted February 28, 2008 that was definitely switchback. Quote
Brian Posted February 28, 2008 Report Posted February 28, 2008 I think my mom had that blue and white suit at 4:38.... which I then inherited for a few seasons. Nice find. Reminds me when my parents used to do ASRA.. which meant a trip up to Killington for the finals every year. Quote
