Papasteeze Posted February 29, 2008 Report Posted February 29, 2008 Here is the schedule:Feb. 29 - March 2, 2008 - Sno Mountain, PA Friday, Feb. 29, - Snowboardcross Saturday, March 1 - Halfpipe Sunday, March 2 - Slopestyle If the Slopestyle comp is Sunday, when will the park be completed for the comp? Can we get a video "tour" of the park before the comp? Can anyone who knows what they are talking about give us a detailed report? Quote
Guest tp4 Posted February 29, 2008 Report Posted February 29, 2008 what are they saying about it on NS? Quote
KyleA Posted February 29, 2008 Report Posted February 29, 2008 what are they saying about it on NS? Nothing b/c it's snowboarding. Quote
Papasteeze Posted February 29, 2008 Author Report Posted February 29, 2008 what are they saying about it on NS? This is the only comment I have seen regarding yesterday. I wouldn't call that thing in Sno's park today a jump but I will point out the 100 pissed off kids from Vermont that came down to ride in the Chevy Revolution Tour only to find a terrible pipe and a roller for a cheese wedge, and what exactly does Sno use for plexi is kind of slides like sandpaper. method9455 Posted February 29, 2008 Report Posted February 29, 2008 Does the course look like this? I'm just saying, last time I was at a Chevy pro/am event, thats what it looked like. So far the only pictures I've seen out of Sno where the pictures of the pipe Ski took on the first day that had the tiller oscillations on the wall Quote
brian223r09 Posted February 29, 2008 Report Posted February 29, 2008 (edited) course goes like this, 1st hit- Flat/Down Box or Handrail 2nd hit- Terrible 20 roller/jump 3nd Urban stair set, Whale Tail, Flat Bar 4th SuperPipe it looks like they were building a Hip off the side of the Superpipe but it dont know /they might be building more features along the side of the pipe but it didnt look like it yesterday Edited February 29, 2008 by brian223r09 Quote
fleaguy Posted February 29, 2008 Report Posted February 29, 2008 what message board does "NS" stand for? I want to see what other boards have to say about the pipe. thank you Quote

brian223r09 Posted March 1, 2008 Report Posted March 1, 2008 Does the course look like this? Unfortunately, the course looks nothing like that. I'm pretty sure thats the Chevy Grand Prix course also which is the big brother of the Revolution Tour. Quote
Ski Posted March 1, 2008 Report Posted March 1, 2008 Ha, it's def not a pic from BC or BB... Method: are you "method" because you like to ride pipe? Eh, that's a serious question. Quote
librider Posted March 1, 2008 Report Posted March 1, 2008 Ha, it's def not a pic from BC or BB... Method: are you "method" because you like to ride pipe? Eh, that's a serious question. Thats mtn creek. Back when they had a pipe. Quote
BCBSNOBBSkier Posted March 1, 2008 Report Posted March 1, 2008 Is Sno's pipe bigger than mountain creeks? Quote
Ski Posted March 1, 2008 Report Posted March 1, 2008 Thats mtn creek. Back when they had a pipe. Wow, it looks great. I only saw it from ground level when it was set up. It's kind of funny to look at it...like it's out of place with the lifts just running up among maple trees instead of mountain peaks. Quote
librider Posted March 1, 2008 Report Posted March 1, 2008 Is Sno's pipe bigger than mountain creeks? Same height. Just shorter. Quote
method9455 Posted March 1, 2008 Report Posted March 1, 2008 Method: are you "method" because you like to ride pipe? Eh, that's a serious question. Yes actually it is. Specifically Ross Powers's heelside wall opening hit signature methods, my favorite trick of all time. I got goose bumps watching him in the X Games and the Grand Prix 5-6 years ago when I was first starting. That inspired me to really push myself in the park, when he gets up there and just lays it out it is about the closest thing to flying a person can do. Id say the three biggest influences on how I ride are ross powers with his go big over go tech, jeremy jones (not the one who rides for burton) for his free riding focus, and jussi okansen for his butters. These are the only crappy pictures I can find of him doing it but I'm sure there are more I'm suprised so few people get the connection Quote
riderossi Posted March 1, 2008 Report Posted March 1, 2008 Then are you planning to go watch him in person method..? That's if he's still suppose to show up, i don't know Quote
Glenn Posted March 1, 2008 Report Posted March 1, 2008 jeremy jones (not the one who rides for burton) ... I hope this is a joke. Quote

Brian Posted March 1, 2008 Report Posted March 1, 2008 ... I hope this is a joke. Haha, I actually like the Rossi Jones too. Quote
brian223r09 Posted March 2, 2008 Report Posted March 2, 2008 My point was they are the same rider. Rossi Big Mountain Jeremy Jones and Freestyle Burton Jeremy Jones are not the same person haha. Quote
Glenn Posted March 2, 2008 Report Posted March 2, 2008 Well, I'm rather shocked right now. I've watched back to back segments from different movies, and these 2 guys look an awful lot alike. I guess I'll accept the info that is available that they are indeed two different people though. Quote

method9455 Posted March 2, 2008 Report Posted March 2, 2008 The thing that clued me in before I saw who they rode for was interviews with both, they talk completely differently. Ironically I ride a Burton Jeremy Jones board right now. Quote
Glenn Posted March 2, 2008 Report Posted March 2, 2008 I always just figured burton didn't care as much for the big riding, but he could make money doing both. I had a lot more respect for him when it was one dude. They do both kill it though. Quote
