Saurus Posted March 6, 2008 Report Posted March 6, 2008 yea the down flat bar with mini urbanage is really nice   omgz!! i know right. I love to ollie onto a rail thats 2 inches off of the lip! RADDDDDDDDD Quote
KevinThomas Posted March 6, 2008 Report Posted March 6, 2008 15 dollars for what seems to be shaping up to be a pretty legit set of comps?? that is cheap as hell. i've paid 30, 60, and 150 for single comp entries...40 bucks for the weekend isn't that bad at all. i'll be at bear tomorrow morning for some laps in the parks in the sun before the rainy weekend. travis Posted March 6, 2008 Report Posted March 6, 2008 rail jam should include the down-flat-down, a down handrail, and a long flat box with a wall ride at the end or a bonk...that would be the most legit set up! i would be pleased too Quote
travis Posted March 6, 2008 Report Posted March 6, 2008 all good ideas as long as they're built right..which run is the slopestyle and big air gonna be on Quote
girls.ride.harder Posted March 6, 2008 Report Posted March 6, 2008 there willl be a girl division right? Quote
JibHonk Posted March 6, 2008 Report Posted March 6, 2008 no bear creek is all about equality that would be sexist if we discriminated girls and made them compete in their own division Quote
snowboarddude Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 bear can you please push the comps back  i have heard 1.5 to 2.5 inches of rain with gusts of wind up to 40mph how much fun can the comp be?? Quote
paolo Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 I remember two years ago, I think, they had the halfpipe contest on a day with insane freezing rain. Everything was iced corduroy. Your edges couldnt even dig in. It was probably the worst conditions I have been to bear in but they still had the contest. It was soo bad that when i got off the lift i couldn't stop and i fell down on purpose to try to stop myself, but i ended up it the woods hahah. Not to mention i still managed to have fun Quote
DHarrisburg Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 urhhh your joking right? lol? Â Well if girls truly ride harder than why not lump everyone into one division and give out prizes for top three riders, regardless of sex? Â Oh wait maybe it's because the only girls who are truly pushing the sport don't get much coverage because they don't do contests or look like beauty queens. Quote

Rab8 Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 im guessing the rail jam is rain or shine? cuz its looking to be a wet comp Quote

skeer_tomas Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 The jam set-up should turn out to be real fun. Just got done hand shaping everything. 6 and a half hours for Andy and I to shape it... not bad haha. We got a Down hand rail urban as hell. Slightly down "palmer" rail. Flat 20 ft. box and a HUGE tire bonk. Time to sleep before I compete. ok buh bye. Quote
k2rider2690 Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 comp sounds good and the set up looks sick...rain isnt looking to great though for tonight, supposed to be quite heavy at times Quote
