bigdaddyk Posted March 8, 2008 Report Posted March 8, 2008 I'm hunting for snow and Holiday Valley, in NY, is supposed to get over a foot, Has anybody been there? From looking at the site, it has over 50 trails, is 750 ft vert, and has two HS quads. I was debating about heading there on Monday. I was thinking about going somewhere in VT, but it doesn't look like anybody around there is supposed to get any decent snow. Quote
bigdaddyk Posted March 8, 2008 Author Report Posted March 8, 2008 Since nobody seems to know anything about the place, I guess I might have to check it out. They are now calling for 1 to 2 feet of snow . It is slightly N.E. of Erie. Quote
n0xidee Posted March 8, 2008 Report Posted March 8, 2008 I heard a lot of good things when I was out by pittsburgh. Thats where all the people went skiing. Was like a two hour drive. Never made it up though. Quote

Never made it up though. I called and they said that they only got 4" inches of snow with freezing rain . I'm not sure if I want to drive 4 hours for that, instead of heading to Mount Snow. Then again, looking at the radar, the farther N.E. you go, the worse it looks. I guess I'll have to wait and see until after the storm is finished. Quote
n0xidee Posted March 8, 2008 Report Posted March 8, 2008 They normally get pounded due to the lake effect from erie and the other great lakes up there. Quote
