toast21602 Posted March 8, 2008 Author Report Posted March 8, 2008 $10 tickets is crazy cheap. i expect a lot of people to be there. unfortunately i'll be missing the entire weekend. Quote
noofus Posted March 8, 2008 Report Posted March 8, 2008 $10??? For everyone or only is you agree to be a gaper for the day? Quote
Melissa Posted March 8, 2008 Report Posted March 8, 2008 So, do you actually have to dress up to get the $10 ticket price? One week is really not enough time to put together a quality outfit. This makes a trip to Blue really tempting. Quote
Schif Posted March 8, 2008 Report Posted March 8, 2008 So now I'm at an impass. $10 ticket and a gape-tastic day at Blue or Scranton's St. Patty's day parade(which involves drinking all day)? Quote

Schif Posted March 8, 2008 Report Posted March 8, 2008 If we can get a crazy gaper day going involving a lot of PASRs I think it would be awesome. Good excuse to get out to Blue, cheap tix, beer and liquor in the parking lot. Lets make it happen. PASR day? Quote
Melissa Posted March 8, 2008 Report Posted March 8, 2008 So now I'm at an impass. $10 ticket and a gape-tastic day at Blue or Scranton's St. Patty's day parade(which involves drinking all day)? OMG, I was totally thinking that too. I think that we could incorporate enough alcohol at Blue to make it like the parade though. Maybe this could be a PASR day at Blue? Sure, I SHOULD be calling movers since I need to like, move to my new apartment, but I could totally be down for this. I guess I could make a concerted effort to go to Goodwill and find a good outfit. These could come in handy: http://www.coldpole.com/home.htm. Quote
toast21602 Posted March 8, 2008 Author Report Posted March 8, 2008 if i could come i would bring my Shotski and Shotski Jr. Quote
Schif Posted March 8, 2008 Report Posted March 8, 2008 (edited) Well if this is gonna go down maybe I can pull double duty. PASR day w/ the Blue Crew in the morning, then back to Scranton at night. I already drank for 12 hours in one day last week so I'll go slow this time around. Anyone have a little tailgate grill they can bring? We can grill up some steeze burgers or maybe old fashioned grilled steeze between runs in the lower lot. Edited March 8, 2008 by Schifdawg Quote
Melissa Posted March 8, 2008 Report Posted March 8, 2008 OKay, I am def. in. I have two bids going on some hot 80s belted ski jackets--one magenta, one turquoise. Quote
Barb Posted March 8, 2008 Report Posted March 8, 2008 Yes you have to dress up to get the ticket price..maybe Barb can lend you one of her outfits from high school..lol hey, I'll have you know I only wore spandex back in the day to go to aerobics class. We won't be able to make it because of our Vermont trip but there better be a pasr gaper day the last weekend in March. Quote
phillycore Posted March 8, 2008 Report Posted March 8, 2008 crapola... my wife is away all next weekend leaving me solely in charge of the kids... no gaper day for me = ( Quote
Melissa Posted March 8, 2008 Report Posted March 8, 2008 Come on people, blah blah you have kids or have to go to Vermont. LAME excuses. Quote

This is a very special day in the history of Blue, don't you want to be there for that? Quote
Schif Posted March 8, 2008 Report Posted March 8, 2008 Definitely very jealous. Monday would be a good day to trek up to the goodwill store and find the most gaperific gear in the world. Whats the weather going to be like? that will probably be a decision maker in what gaper gear i bust out. Quote
Ski Posted March 8, 2008 Report Posted March 8, 2008 if i could come i would bring my Shotski and Shotski Jr. Toast, man, I'm totally disgusted with that crap. That is just sooooo freaking lame. Those bases are dry as sh*t and just dying for wax. Please check out the shotski wax specials at RACEWAX.COM Quote
phillycore Posted March 9, 2008 Report Posted March 9, 2008 Eh, I love pets, but kids? Not so much. Don't you have any relatives you can give them to? Or just get a babysitter? This is a very special day in the history of Blue, don't you want to be there for that? Both my wife's parents are deceased as is my father. Her brother can't take care of himself let alone my kids. My brother lives in Washington DC. My mother simply can't watch them as they drive her nuts.. I'm poor which means no babysitter and I have no friends... other than my wife. looks like I'm screwed.
