Glenn Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 Don't go there...Nothing else can be said <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What was so bad about it. Please share. Quote
skidude Posted January 18, 2005 Author Report Posted January 18, 2005 Sit outside on a chair (in the windest place you can find) for 20 minutes, then take your skis (or board) and attack the bases with a rock for a while. That was your first run. SLOWEST LIFT IN THE FREAKING WORLD!!!! NO SNOW!!!!! Quote
skifreak Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 Was this that mountain that was for sale in VT by any chance that we were looking at earlier this year that Jeff didn't buy us? Quote
AtomicSkier Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 Nah, this mtn is on route 11, as is Bromley, a great, southern facing mtn, but magic is east of bromley. Our house is about 5 minutes from magic, and I've never skied there. Skidude pretty much summed it up. I would, however, encourage you to goto bromley. very few people have been there, but ski999 and i have, and its a great mtn. LOTS OF SUN! Quote
skifreak Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 Oh ok, that and Bromely just rings a bell to me from somewhere. Quote
skidude Posted January 18, 2005 Author Report Posted January 18, 2005 We drove by bromley on the way out...They had a liftline...But I guess thats sunday afternoon on a holiday weekend. Quote
Ski Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 Yeah, Magic was for sale, but it needed upgrading of the lifts and a major expansion in the snowmaking system. The new owners just havent gotten to it, yet. People hate Mad River, too, but it's a different kind of ski experience...and not one to have if it hasn't snowed much. Quote
