Took a quick trip to Elk before the rain came.

Was on the lift at 9:05, conditions were firm and fast, coverage was good.

The place was empty, less than 75 people skiing.

The best runs today were Slalom, Tuscarora, Lackawanna, Chippewa & Susquehanna.

The lift attended on North Quad said the last day for the season would be this Sunday.

This damn shitty weather is killing it. It figures that it's supposed to get cold and go back to winter conditions, after this storm. It's already too late. People have now lost interest and think that nothing is left :( .

Quir complaining and go north or west!!!! :D

I'm pissed :banghead:banghead . Every damn decent size storm has been rain. When I planned to go north, they got hammered with rain. After everybody closes, it will probably get cold and snow. Even the one storm that JF had light fluffly snow, that usually doesn't fall around here, a brief shot of sleet came in and screwed it all up.

I was also hoping to head to Elk, the last week of March.

Being pissed at the weather is like being pissed at taxes..winter weather in PA sucks..maybe 1 in 5 winters turns out awesome..natural snow wise and then it rains..just enjoy what we have and quit complaining..

I was there today. Definitely firm and fast. Softened up a little in the afternoon. Starting snowing lightly when I left.

Last weekend, I was told by several of the employees, (manager types) that Elk is going to "try" to stay open until Sat March 29th with the employees and guests only party on Sun. I'll be up this weekend and post a further update.
