stbgskibum247
I grew up at camelback and have pretty much skiied there my entire life. Due to college and working park crew at Bear Creek I didnt get to check out camelback at all this year. I was wondering if anybody could give me a rundown of what kind of stuff they had set up in the parks this year??

Someone commented on the CB parks on the other CB 3/29 thread.
Papasteeze
It looks the same as it always has for the last 4 years. They do have a new pipe and surprisingly it was in really good shape on Saturday. Edited March 30, 2008 by Papasteeze
stbgskibum247
Any word on them stepping it up in the future? I know they're under new managment and whatnot...I would expect they would at least TRY to keep up w/ other mountains.
moe ghoul
Any word on them stepping it up in the future? I know they're under new managment and whatnot...I would expect they would at least TRY to keep up w/ other mountains. They will be competitive with other hills, BTW, they were making snow in the tubing park this AM for the railjam. The emphasis is on customer service, adding more profit centers, like the Bistro (which was pretty dead this weekend, and blaring the PA system with an announcement "to try the Bistro, because its never busy", is dumb), and trying to get the new 5th floor club facility off the ground with its indoor water park. Fireside Pub downstairs is more of a sport/game/cigar bar now, so they're trying to up the check sales and change things up a bit. Rumor has it Great Wolf is a partner in the new water park, they had combined their advertisment this year, cross promoting each other. The new facility prolly won't start breaking ground until they get 20-30% of the units sold, and again, that is rumor and speculation. No rumors about park upgrades, but I'd keep an eye on their website, the marketing is tight and they announce upgrades and improvements. Glenn
It's been a year since I've been there but in my experience... No scene really. Sometimes the park is fun, sometimes they aren't. I found it really hard to progress there though.
