sexkitten Posted April 4, 2008 Report Posted April 4, 2008 2 new trails? I only see the one trail that was supposed to open this past season... Upper and lower. As far as I know the new trail is actually being split up into two trails, top and bottom. This is why it says two new trails for next year Ding, ding, ding... we have a winner! Quote
method9455 Posted April 5, 2008 Report Posted April 5, 2008 The show is a good marketing ploy, but it will probably gag me to watch it so hopefully I don't get the channel. I can't believe the trail would NOT be open next year, it could have been open this year if they wanted to though so maybe they are just dragging it out. The snowmaking costs on it over the next 5 years will probably exceed the cost of cutting it, maybe the new owner didn't want to occur such an increase in snowmaking expense. Quote
method9455 Posted April 6, 2008 Report Posted April 6, 2008 I wish Peak bought Mountain Creek, that is the mountain most in need of new management. Blue might have slipped a little but they still shat on MC. Quote
headbanger Posted April 7, 2008 Report Posted April 7, 2008 I don't usually read the Blue board, so sorry for being uninformed. Blue actually agreed to do the Ski Patrol show? That is being shot in season correct? I just want to make sure I have my facts straight before I say anthing. Yup looks like they filmed for at least a month. They did a reality TV show about their Ski Patrol. I heard it will air in November. Quote
toast21602 Posted April 28, 2008 Report Posted April 28, 2008 take the survey on Blue's website and you will see the new names for the new trails.... Quote
phillycore Posted April 28, 2008 Report Posted April 28, 2008 Why not just tell us so we can skip the stupid survey....lol Quote
toast21602 Posted April 28, 2008 Report Posted April 28, 2008 Why not just tell us so we can skip the stupid survey....lol because it is more important to get you to take the survey so you can express your opinions to help improve the mountain. Quote
stever2003 Posted April 29, 2008 Report Posted April 29, 2008 I heard the new run is going to be "SCARY" steep.. ya, for the first 20 feet. The black diamond part of it is only gonna be at the top, it dumps into that wide open clearing that you can see from the 6pack. Quote

sexkitten Posted April 30, 2008 Report Posted April 30, 2008 I was looking at the trail map and trying to figure out where the two trails will meet. I'm thinking that Nightmare will be from the top till the 2nd turn of Paradise and that Dream Weaver will begin at that point (enter from Paradise) and continue down from there. What do you all think? Quote

What do you all think? That's right, Nightmare enters right next to razors edge, but is just a short steep down to where it intersects with Paradise and Dreamweaver. Dream Weaver begins at the Paradise's second turn and re-enters Paradise at Paradise's last turn. Didn't you take the quad at all this year? Quote

We skied on the other side of the mountain a lot this year too. Quote

trimreaper Posted July 29, 2008 Author Report Posted July 29, 2008 Looks to me like Blue is going to complete 30% of the new trail, and not the good part. Quote
Shadows Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 i like the pic of that guy (keith?) standing on that boxing clown, touch the sky! Quote

trimreaper Posted July 31, 2008 Author Report Posted July 31, 2008 Blue is lighting and putting snow making on the bottom third of the new trail, the flat part named Dreamweaver. Quote

skier89 Posted August 1, 2008 Report Posted August 1, 2008 so whats up with the rest of the trail? Quote
skier89 Posted August 1, 2008 Report Posted August 1, 2008 I know the headwall is uber steep..so I'm sure the ski patrollers are going to use lots of avalanche bombs/explosives to blow off the overhanging cornice created by the manmade blizzard created by PAs finest snowmakers within 14 miles of Sheetz..lol lol niceeee but do they like have any lights or snowmaking on the rest of the trail? Quote
trimreaper Posted August 11, 2008 Author Report Posted August 11, 2008 lol niceeee but do they like have any lights or snowmaking on the rest of the trail? No lights or snowmaking on the headwall of the new trail. Looks like the money was spent on the the new tubing tent. Quote
