Added mountain for Stats

Since it will be open before we know it, I added Xanadu to the mountain listing. I know I plan on getting there when it opens. I wonder if there will be off season passes.

I'd like to hit Xanadu for opening day..at about 150 vert or so..it will be fun for shitz and giggles..

 

Their site says opening fall 2008. It would be great if they opened this summer.

PASR day at Xanadu is going to be totally legit. I also hope they open before ski season begins..but there are always delays in construction. It's funny Xanadu is going to open faster than the new trail at Blue.

 

 

The though of being able to ride in the middle of July is amazing ... Here's an NYT article.

It'll be fun to pull into midtown Manhattan in mid August with skis on the rack.......

and 20$ does sound cheap, maybe that's a teaser rate to see how big the draw will be.

The pricing is probably for an hour or two. The "Ski Dubai" website price list has 180 AED (about 49 USD) for 2 hours. (1 USD=3.67 AED)

Here's a few ideas, some cheesy fake palm trees off to the side for glade skiing.

Night skiing flooding the place with blacklights and wearing glow in the dark gear. With a spinning mirror ball?

Fall opening is going to kill them I think. If anything they should open in the spring or summer.

 

Why drive all the way to the Meadowlands to ski a 800' slope when you could ski a real mountain? If they opened in the summer, they'd get flooded with business because there's no where else to go, and people will be infatuated with summer skiing.

It would be cool if the local hills started laying down this stuff for summer turns. That would excite me more than Xanadu.

i think alot of local hills have considered it but there is an issue with grooming on top of it so they would have to have a seperate trail for it.

I just googled Xanadu snow and it came up with a place in madrid spain. I looked at one of the videos and its on a terrain park so...... Hopefully its a copy of the one in spain and the have a terrain park

I think most of these indoor ski places follow a similar design ... Here's one in Holland.

Summer skiing only two hours away, with perfect packed powder conditions, when it's 90 degrees outside. I can't wait .

It's the best jump you'll find in the summer, around here
