ski HEAD Posted July 13, 2008 Report Posted July 13, 2008 Was up the mt this afternoon. The north face lift was running. a lot of equipment around but no workers visable. the towers are in for the zip rider. you can see the structure where the wave pool is supposed to be but the pool part is non existent. There are some type slide being built near the shuttle lift. the lazy river still has dirt all the way around the permiter. They did install a very nice set steps from the parking lot to the main entrance. They do seem like they are a long way from opening, I hope not, but I really don't see it. Quote
Papasteeze Posted July 14, 2008 Report Posted July 14, 2008 More than 100 construction workers have been busy seven days a week, putting in 12-hour days to fix the problems. That's in addition to finishing other projects like the miniature golf course, bumper boats and other rides. Despite all of the holdups, the owner said the place will open this summer. "July 18 is our opening day. We will have the majority of the rides open," Carlson vowed. Crews are working 12-hour shifts to finish up all the work. He said the only attractions that won't be open that day will be the wave pool and a giant water slide called the Tundra Tornado. He expects those to open August first. Was up the mt this afternoon. Sno Mountain Skier Posted July 30, 2008 Report Posted July 30, 2008 Are you gonna go up there to ride it? I dont see the point for them to open it up ona regular basis. If I were them, I would open it on concert days at 2pm. When people start going up for concerts early, maybe they would take a ride on it. But being open all the time is a bad idea. Quote
