Melissa Posted August 1, 2008 Report Posted August 1, 2008 So, this is um kind of interesting. I've been to Lynchburg--it's boring, and I could barely get cell service. I hope this activity will keep the kids from doing crazy things like dancing and playing co-ed twister. Wintergreen is like not even an hour away though, so, well, I think if it were me, I'd much rather drive there to ski. Quote
nick malozzi Posted August 1, 2008 Report Posted August 1, 2008 (edited) I hope this activity will keep the kids from doing crazy things like dancing and playing co-ed twister. I doubt that was a problem. Liberty U is a big Christian school. They sent me a ton of mail for some reason, and the way they talked about the school always made them sound like a cult. nick malozzi Posted August 2, 2008 Report Posted August 2, 2008 (edited) But then again, Jerry Falwell founded Liberty so they probably are pretty weird yea man, it wasn't just the fact that they talked about not partying and such, those letters straight up sounded like they were trying to recruit me into a cult. i was waiting for a freshman year event schedule that listed a kool-aid party, but it never came. nick malozzi Posted August 3, 2008 Report Posted August 3, 2008 Liberty scarded me away. hell i even got in. so did i, and i never applied. i don't think they actually make you apply. i remember getting multiple "You've been accepted!" letters that said all i needed to do was sign a paper and send some cash. Psychos. Quote
Melissa Posted August 4, 2008 Report Posted August 4, 2008 But then again, Jerry Falwell founded Liberty so they probably are pretty weird I've been to Lynchburg, and know people from there (Lynchburg) and also one guy who went there (Liberty). It is as weird as you'd think. All the religiousity isn't for show--that is the way it is there! I wish I could remember some of the crazier examples of stuff that went on there, but I forget. Sorry:( Quote
