darklordofsys Posted August 27, 2008 Report Posted August 27, 2008 Out of curiosity. Whats the average length of the trails at Sno? How long is the longest? How does that compare to other mountains like CB or ELK? Quote
darklordofsys Posted August 27, 2008 Author Report Posted August 27, 2008 Long Runs = Massive Goodness. The old Montage trail maps used to have trail length but and I remember that a top to bottom run on the far left side..looking up is about 1.5 miles long and the average run at Sno is about 3,000 feet long. I feel like the runs at Sno are about the same length as at Elk and longer than Camelback.. Quote
darklordofsys Posted August 27, 2008 Author Report Posted August 27, 2008 13 miles...now there's an endurance test. That's one of the reasons I like Jackson Hole so much. I think the longest run I've skied is a 7-mile long run at Whistler-Blackcomb..there is apparently a run somewhere in the Alps that is 13 miles long.. Quote
Johnny Law Posted August 27, 2008 Report Posted August 27, 2008 (edited) 13.7 miles..It would probably take 40 minutes to ski at a moderate pace.. http://thelongestlistofthelongeststuffatth...om/long224.html There are far far longer in the alps, there not named trails but rather pretty well known routes. The Haute route for example takes about 7 days on skis though it isn't all downhill. I can't imagine what 13 or 20 miles would feel like let alone 80. Edited August 27, 2008 by Johnny Law Quote
