method9455 Posted September 5, 2008 Report Posted September 5, 2008 Moved into a new apartment and my walls are bare. I tossed out my old collection of posters that I built up over several years because I was tired of them, and now I'm looking for some new ones. In the past I got them at work or at events but I'm trying to just order some and put them up because this place is bare. I tried allposters.com but they have no clue what skiing/snowboarding should look like, their most recent poster seems to be from 2000, many are early 90s. Anyone have a good source for new ones? I'm looking for big, high quality, ski or snowboard. I'd rather pay a bit more and get some quality ones than have a bunch of free/cheap ones with logos all over them or centerfolds out of a magazine. Quote
nick malozzi Posted September 5, 2008 Report Posted September 5, 2008 Email all the companies and tell them you are hosting some sort of event, and some will send you free ones. They may have logos on them, but at least you can start from there for free, and pay for other ones to fill in the bare spots. Rome, btw, rocks when it comes to sending merch. I contacted them and they hit me with about 5 sets of around 100 posters, bottle openers, lighters, stickers out the ass, and other random shit. Almost enough stuff to get me to buy their gear, haha. nick malozzi Posted September 5, 2008 Report Posted September 5, 2008 You're a fibber. Well actually out of the three times I sent emails out to companies only 1 of them was souly for personal gain. The other times I was getting hand outs for KU Outdoors club events. So only sorta a fibber. Quote

"Speed Hump" "20 Mph" "Reserved for Best Buy In-store Pick up" "Together we can save lives so buckle up" from maryland "windy road ahead arrow" and "Smile you're on radar" Quote

method9455 Posted September 17, 2008 Author Report Posted September 17, 2008 I know of a few guys that do big prints of shots they've taken, but im not sure how much you want to spend. I would have no qualms about paying for something worth framing if the shots are good I know how hard they work to get the pics. Quote
Dan- Posted September 17, 2008 Report Posted September 17, 2008 http://adambarkerphotography.com Stuff is kind of expensive, but his shots are some of the best i've ever seen. If you don't want to drop that much coin, the Utah Ski poster is pretty dope, and i think it's around 20 bucks. Quote
DHarrisburg Posted September 17, 2008 Report Posted September 17, 2008 you can go into a zumiez store in some mall and they sell nice ones for like 20 bucks, I got a huge one of the dingo chillin in my room haha I know you're young and all but fuck dude come on did you really pay $20 for a poster of the DINGO? method9455 Posted September 22, 2008 Author Report Posted September 22, 2008 I know you're young and all but fuck dude come on did you really pay $20 for a poster of the DINGO? Ha I missed that response. DHarrisburg is right, not only is DINGO a scrub but I wouldn't step foot in a Zumiez if someone had a gun pointed at my head. Quote

snorovr Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 I was actually at Michaels Crafts over the weekend, and they had a lot of cool posters and they were having a 50% off sale on all their prints. I picked up a really nice surfing one that is huge for like five bucks. Quote
