skifreak Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 This was in The Morning Call yesterday and I never got around to posting it. Talks about the Fall Festival and some of their improvements for off season activities. http://www.mcall.com/news/local/all-b1_1bl...0,1495917.story Quote
Shadows Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 but all attractions would be for smaller crowds and ''back-to-nature-type'' of experiences, Dailey said. He said the resort is not interested in ''industrial amusement park'' attractions. seems like they know whats up. none of this camelback nonsense. Quote
trimreaper Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 seems like they know whats up. none of this camelback nonsense. Sounds like the same article thats been in the paper for the past 5 years. Finish the new trail already! Quote
k2rider2690 Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 seems like they are realizing they are falling behind bear hah Quote
AtomicSkier Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 should be interesting to see baby blue grow. i'd love to see them do a rapid expansion on the currently wooded east side.... Quote
toast21602 Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 the need to keep it simple... and try to improve the skiing, and not just summer activities. maybe add some more freakin' trails. Quote

phillycore Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 should be interesting to see baby blue grow. i'd love to see them do a rapid expansion on the currently wooded east side.... X2 But they need to finish the "new trail" that they've been working on for the past 2 years or so... Quote
Shadows Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 (edited) summer revenue = larger winter budget. thats probably what they need. more money so they can expand the ski area - its possible they keep running out of money in the new trail construction, thats just horrible budgeting though. something obviously had to change. why would you guys want it to be some shitty waterpark or something? im happy theyre trying to keep things focused around the mountain even though its summer related. the only thing places like CB have kept oriented with the mountain is the slope of the water slides. trimreaper Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 Looks like they are already setting up for the concert, I drove past and saw a big tent set up in the lot. Quote

rugbyrider Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 it seems like a waste of money, if im doing something with my family thats great but im not going to drive to blue mtn to water tube, im going to the brandywine and tubing down that, and if im playing paintball im going to skirmish, just seems like a complete waste of money, time and resources Quote
Justin Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 it seems like a waste of money, if im doing something with my family thats great but im not going to drive to blue mtn to water tube, im going to the brandywine and tubing down that, and if im playing paintball im going to skirmish, just seems like a complete waste of money, time and resources Just about every single successful big time ski resort has a "summer" season. I'd like to see a legit MTB park....something like MC. Quote
