paolo Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 What type is it. I really wanted to learn. Do you think its possible to learn without lessons? Quote
Glenn Posted November 10, 2008 Author Report Posted November 10, 2008 It's a wave sport EZ. It's a playful river running boat. What that means is you will have good speed, be able to run class 1 - 3+ (I've seen lots of class 5 run in this boat). I'll sell it for $300 with the spray skirt. You can learn without lessons, but it's really important to learn some concepts well before you get yourself in too deep. I'd recommend on getting a weekend job at any of the Lehigh river guide companies. You will learn the basics, and meet some cool people to boat with. If you are interested in learning to boat this kayak is super fun. It won't let you learn bad technique in class 2 water like a creeker might, but it's not going to be burdensome like a full on playboat will be. Quote
Glenn Posted November 10, 2008 Author Report Posted November 10, 2008 (edited) Bunch of guys throwing down in EZ's here. This is class 5 playboating. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ezfr1ZpCESE Edited November 10, 2008 by Glenn Quote
julz m Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 sweet i was thinking of starting this next year. how did you learn and where are some good creeks/rivers around pa? i just got back from kayaking on a slow river with my dad. that shit bores me to tears... Quote
Glenn Posted November 10, 2008 Author Report Posted November 10, 2008 I learned by working at pocono whitewater. Lots of stuff around if it rains, otherwise you wait for the Lehigh dam releases. Quote
