Barb Posted November 27, 2008 Report Posted November 27, 2008 Dec 13 projected opening. I called yesterday. Quote
TT C6 Posted November 27, 2008 Report Posted November 27, 2008 Dec 13 projected opening. I called yesterday. Than dayis also the "Running of the Santas" at Finnigans Wake and McFaddens in Philadelphia. All day/night party. One of the best days of the year. Quote
bigdaddyk Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 Dec 13 projected opening. I called yesterday. With all of the other places opening early, you'd think that they would push for an earlier opening, or at least open BB at 9am, until JF gets open. Quote

"Tonight we will be lighting up at Jack Frost. We will be running 24/7 weather permitting and plan to open up in early December. Our goal is to open with beginner through expert terrain to include East Mountain." Edited November 28, 2008 by PA Ridge Racer Quote

Schif Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 Speaking of "Lighting up" Frost. Does anyone have any clue why they still will not put lights in at Jack Frost? Quote
bigdaddyk Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 Speaking of "Lighting up" Frost. Does anyone have any clue why they still will not put lights in at Jack Frost? Probably because the same company runs both BB and JF and it wouldn't be cost effective to have two places with lights. I sort of like JF closing at 4, because it gives them a chance to groom it earlier. If it snows at night, the natural snow doesn't get groomed over as much. Quote
C1erArt Posted November 29, 2008 Report Posted November 29, 2008 Looking at the Jack Frost trail map on the snow reports section of the website - Did they cut a bunch of new cross trails on east mountain and redo Thunderbolt? or is it just poor map drawing? Quote

Same map they've been using. I still haven't figure out some of the phantom trails, either. Quote
