BC-Mark Posted November 30, 2008 Report Posted November 30, 2008 It is Sunday morning and the snow has already switched to rain here. Looking at the forecast, we are expecting a brief break from 8am until 10am or 11am followed by heavy rain. The snow has a nice glaze on it now so we have decided to keep the groomer off the snow to try and preserve what we have. Unfortunately, that means we will not be opening the parks today. We do plan on reopening from 3pm to 8pm. Quote
JibHonk Posted November 30, 2008 Report Posted November 30, 2008 On Monday plenty of schools around the area still have off for thanksgiving so why not open the park 10- like 5 Quote
snowboarddude Posted November 30, 2008 Report Posted November 30, 2008 this rain really sucks... hopefuly the snow holds up good and temps drop this week Quote
nick Posted November 30, 2008 Report Posted November 30, 2008 On Monday plenty of schools around the area still have off for thanksgiving so why not open the park 10- like 5 because the snow is softest during the day, and when the snow is soft, alot of people riding over it does alot more damage then at night when its nice and hard. Winter Posted November 30, 2008 Report Posted November 30, 2008 Good to see you on here Mark! Yeah, it's always best to leave snow undisturbed when the weather is messy. Any sort of movement will create some heat and melt it faster. No worries though, i don't recall an earlier opening to the season, so that means you a ton of days left to do some sliding! Rolf Quote

Every time there is border line snow/rain, you guys get rain and the rest of the hills get snow but people still compare what you guys do to what they do. It is impressive but sad at the same time, I wish mother nature would throw you guys a bone now and then. Quote
mollyskeez Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 will you guys be open tuesday 3-8?? Quote
mollyskeez Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 will you guys be open tuesday 3-8?? wait nevermind that is a dumb question. Quote
EAZY-Emuntz Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 I saw the groomer doing the jump line on the webcam, It looks like it held up really well, but we need a little more snow on the drop-in area. And I'm hoping that park crew is re-cutting the jumps.. Quote
