TT C6 Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 I'm trying to decide whether to go up to Killington with some friends this weekend. Any good jump lines in their parks? (how many?, size?, conditions?) How are the conditions up there? Quote
moe ghoul Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 Kmart is looking at 4-9" by tomorrow depending on type of precip. Quote
snorovr Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 I'm trying to decide whether to go up to Killington with some friends this weekend. Any good jump lines in their parks? (how many?, size?, conditions?) How are the conditions up there? If you want jumps don't even bother with Killington. They are still at what I would consider a very early season park. They had one very small table. Not sure if you've been to Blue yet but something similar to what Blue has in Come Around. Waaay more impressed with Mt. Snow on the park side of things. Mt Snow has an entire trail with well built jumps and a selection of rails, and I think their big park is open this weekend as they were reshaping it last weekend. Conditions at Killington on Saturday were not bad but not good. East coast... Definitely pretty firm, although they had some of the trails being blown on open and there were some bump lines on those. Certainly didn't see too many boarders on those trails though. The bumps were straight gnar. The rest of the mountain was pretty firm from people just sliding down steep sections. Worth $70? Not to me but it was a good time. Of course conditions this weekend depend on how much snow they get out of this storm and how cold it gets. Quote
TT C6 Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 (edited) Thank You T*Maki! The info in your post is EXACTLY why I joined this site. :) Any time anyone wants to do a trip to Mt Snow, let me know. I'm in. Edited December 12, 2008 by TT C6 Quote
Justo8484 Posted December 15, 2008 Report Posted December 15, 2008 i hope you didnt go to killy this weekend. i went with my girlfriend and didnt even get to ski friday because of the storm dumping about an inch of ice on everything and all of killington losing power for about 2 hours, and then saturday it was probably the worst conditions i've ever skied with only 2 lifts running for half the day with about 3000 people on the mountain. not at all worth the rediculous prices they were charging. we hit okemo today, and it was a world of difference. i dunno about their parks, but the snow and grooming in general was much much better today than at killy.
