moe ghoul Posted December 9, 2008 Author Report Posted December 9, 2008 Been up since 3:30AM, layed in bed until 5, if you see somebody sleeping on the Main Street lift, its prolly me. Quote
moe ghoul Posted December 9, 2008 Author Report Posted December 9, 2008 Back from Blue, got up there by 8:30, on the lift by 8:50, partly cloudy with fairly fast moving upper deck cloud cover but no wind on the hill, 29 degrees and rising. First run was down Main Street, didn't appear groomed due to the lack of cord, but snow was semidry packed with some loose man made parmisan and shavings. We noticed that the specialty being served up was about 3-4 inches of fresh untracked snow on Barney's and that pretty much clinched it for the day. Aside from a run down Lazy mile, which had been groomed, and 2 solo runs down raceway and 2 park runs for some micro air, we basically did a bump clinic on Barney's all day, which was a great workout. Popped into the bar for a hot choc and a Butterscotch schnapps with Jethro and the new cutie behind the bar for about 1/2 hour and headed back to Barney's. Weather warmed up into the upper 30's by 2PM when we called it a day. Humidity was rising as well, but not a drop of rain. Moe was bustin out a sweat, underarmor, turtleneck, softshell was alomst too much by noon. Stopped at Wawa's for gas, caffeine and a bag of kettlecooked Mesquite chips for the ride home. Quote
moe ghoul Posted December 9, 2008 Author Report Posted December 9, 2008 Bumped into Toast, I think he was shredding in the park. Quote
AngryHugo Posted December 9, 2008 Report Posted December 9, 2008 God bless Wawa. Sounds like you had a great time. Now go get some sleep! Quote
RootDKJ Posted December 9, 2008 Report Posted December 9, 2008 Wow, it sounds like things are really shaping up at Blue. At this point, I don't know if I'll be up on Friday, it's not looking too good. Quote

At this point, I don't know if I'll be up on Friday, it's not looking too good. Friday is full price day, they were keeping busy on Tut's and getting the 6 pack area ready. As is usually the case, Blue looks like it's right on the cusp to get either rain or snow Thurs/Fri. Tomorrow will be slip n slide in da rain. Thursday might actually be pretty decent if the rain doesn't beat the snot out of the snow. Quote
