AngryHugo Posted December 11, 2008 Report Posted December 11, 2008 if it were january i might get excited but c'mon guys its 12/11 I guess we're all just a bit frustrated. We've been a little spoiled with an early season, and want to get as many days in as possible. Quote
Dan- Posted December 11, 2008 Report Posted December 11, 2008 I know down in Philly were suppose to get 2 inches of rain tonight. The weather men are probably wrong about the snow. So would you really by riding for long in a torrential down pour? Doubtful. Quote
moe ghoul Posted December 11, 2008 Report Posted December 11, 2008 Can't blame them for closing, I'm surprised they're even open today. This rain has to be especially hard on the park set ups if they're letting folks on them today. Quote
MBtech Posted December 11, 2008 Report Posted December 11, 2008 Lame! Anyone else closing or just Blue? Quote

method9455 Posted December 11, 2008 Report Posted December 11, 2008 I agree with Moe..it's reality...imagine if this was all snow.. If it were cold enough for snow I doubt that much moisture would be in the storm anyway, its southern track is what gave it so much moisture. It is a LOT colder today than yesterday, so there will be a lot less damage to the snow. No one will have dry snowmaking ponds this year. Quote
Mixilplix Posted December 11, 2008 Report Posted December 11, 2008 iPhone doesn't have a video camera Carry somethin that does...That battle rap would be a #1 hit! Quote

AtomicSkier Posted December 11, 2008 Author Report Posted December 11, 2008 dunno if i should go in the morning tomorrow or not....looks like its gunna be above freezing at blue...aka no snow. Quote
AtomicSkier Posted December 11, 2008 Author Report Posted December 11, 2008 One that shows no snow accumulation.. http://www.weather.com/weather/local/USPA1...chbox_typeahead Same forecast for Bethlehem, Palmerton, and Danielsville. Even BB is only supposed to get a wintry mix. Quote
AtomicSkier Posted December 11, 2008 Author Report Posted December 11, 2008 I'm sorry, I'm calling bullshit. I know you like to hype things up, but it's looking like rain. Accuweather isn't as accurate as TWC in my observation of previous storms. First Grade Teacher switched to Camelback..are they open tonight??? Is Big Boulder open??? http://www.accuweather.com/us/pa/bangor/18...&traveler=1 I think of Bangor as more similar in terms of weather than Palmerton..Palmerton is usually about the same temperature as Allentown..for every 1,000 feet gained the temperature will drop 3 to 5 degrees so I'm guessing it's snowing at the top of Blue...up by the peak and raining down in the valley..Conditions tomorrow are going to be sick..30K day for me..I have makeup vert from all the rain.. LOL did you look in your own link? It shows .1" in the next 24 hours. Quote
