julz m
Where will be the best place to go for freeriding this weekend? Jack Frost, Camelback, or Blue Mt. These are the principles i want to base my decision off of: -Snow Conditions/quality -Crowds -and how many runs are open I am going with my dad and he prefers blue squares to black diamonds and likes long, cruizin' runs... WHat do you guys think will be the best?
bigdaddyk
JF will have the best snow & grooming. CB will probably have the most open (number wise), JF will probably be second. CB and Blue will definately be more crowded, although they have high speed lifts. JF will also have crowds, but they have enough lifts that the lines rarely become an issue. JF is also spread out more, so it helps spread out the crowds, since everybody doesn't filter to one or two lifts. JF also offers tree skiing. If you want longer runs, Blue would be the one to pick, if crowds don't bother you. Edited December 23, 2008 by bigdaddyk
syd harvey
JFBB...Easy reasons 1. Staff care 2. Options 3. Crowds are usually not much of a issue 4. Need I say more I think, ya all been to these places a million times in the end your going to make your decision on how you feel at the time.... ~
TT C6
Jack Frost is the easy choice for all the reasons you will find on PASR.
tothecore
JF and BB do NOT have long runs but will probably be less crowded. BB is only good for riding park. I like Blue for the longer runs but will probably be crowded. Camelback has some longer runs and will be crowded as well but maybe your best choice based on the criteria above. gdthomas
JFBB might not have any long runs but I think the open terrain at JF makes up for some of that cause even though they are short the trees can be pretty fun sometimes. be85
IF crowds are an issue, I would think of heading up to Sno or Elk. I know they are not on your list, but it might be worth the drive. I am not a black diamond skier, so I feel better about pushing myself with less of a crowd. I like Elk as well...but as mentioned a bit more of a drive. But they have nice longer runs for your pops.
TT C6
With the recent snowmaking assault..and high speed lifts..along with long runs..and PASRs to ski with...definitely Blue.. Consider the source of the above post.
Papasteeze
Jack Frost, Camelback, or Blue Mt. These are the principles i want to base my decision off of: -Snow Conditions/quality -Crowds -and how many runs are open Based on that - I would go to JF BTW..... Has anyone ever done calculations on uphill capacity/acreage?
Glenn
Let's not forget about the douchbag/acre ratio which JL most kindly pointed out to us.
