Papasteeze Posted December 27, 2008 Author Report Posted December 27, 2008 How big is the knuckle of the first jump? - What nuckle ? lol your gonna clear it no matter how slow you go basically.Does it boot you up? -Shoots you straight up into the air, all the jumps in widow do the same. On a serious note... Can any one shed any light on why skiers like "poppy" jumps and snow boarders generally don't? Seriously Quote
Shadows Posted December 27, 2008 Report Posted December 27, 2008 Can any one shed any light on why skiers like "poppy" jumps and snow boarders generally don't? Seriously we can hold an edge while spinning off a lip, they cant and poppy lips are terrible if youre trying to butter a spin. Quote
Sno Mountain Skier Posted December 27, 2008 Report Posted December 27, 2008 On a serious note... Can any one shed any light on why skiers like "poppy" jumps and snow boarders generally don't? Seriously I personally like a jumps that shoots you out farther, then it does higher. Quote
igo Posted December 27, 2008 Report Posted December 27, 2008 I snowboard and personally i like mellower jumps, I have a problem of not being able to judge my spin off really poppy jumps I always over rotate the spin im trying. or corking my spin out really bad and landing on my head. Put me in a hospital! Wear a helmet if i didnt i would be a damn a vegetable! Quote
Papasteeze Posted December 27, 2008 Author Report Posted December 27, 2008 gotcha.. makes sense... the poppier lips are better for off axis and inverts and provide more hang time at a slower velocity (less hucking I guess) Quote
toast21602 Posted December 27, 2008 Report Posted December 27, 2008 I personally like a jumps that shoots you out farther, then it does higher. ditto. Quote
AtomicSkier Posted December 27, 2008 Report Posted December 27, 2008 I personally like a jumps that shoots you out farther, then it does higher. Although I'm no park skier by any means, when I do hit jumps, I like to be booted out, not up. Quote
