so i was at boulder tonight for the z games. we're ready to leave, and two of my friends' skis are gone. one pair was the white 169 vinnie dorion 1080s with s912PE2s and a waldo sticker, the other pair dynastar phil larose pros with look p12s. we were away from the skis for all of 5 minutes and some bastard stole them. if any of you kids ride boulder and see the skis, knock the kid down and punch his teeth out and steal the skis back for my friends. it would be greatly appreciated.

It sucks you have to lock your stuff to keep things like that from happening. I never let my board out of my site without locking. Too many skis/boards getting stolen and the only chance you have is to lock it up with a quality lock.

Actually if it's just for five minutes, ANY lock is better than no lock. You want them to target someone else's skis.

I remember using a chain and padlock to secure my skis some 25 years ago. But, my friend didn't bring a lock. So, we attempted to secure both skis with the same chain and padlock. She had the hottest skis on the market at the time, first day using them. They were cut out of the chain and gone by the time we got out of the bar. So, rule number two is, don't get the hottest skis and if you have them get them scratched up pretty quick.

And rule number three is, don't chain up your friend's skis, as when theirs get stolen and yours sit there, it is all your fault.

i hate bastards that have to go and steal someone elses shit. it makes me so mad to hear about people doing that after my friends was stolen when my stuff was right next to it. other places you can just take your skis off and not have to worry about it in places like vermont. its sad because the kids must know how to ski if they know what the nice skis are.

I had poles stolen once at CB while I ran into the ladies room. POLES. They were nice, but I wasn't gone more than 2 minutes. Now I lock them or bring them with me.

if ur not totaly picky putting ur name on ur skis and boards would prolly also help, even if they do get stolen finding them would be much easier if you say look my name is written on them, or a letter that is normaly one color is another color. all my skis have either my name on them or a letter colored in with a sharpy marker

i find if i never take my board off i dont have trouble with many people trying to steal it from me, but their are a few people that would die for a well stickered board :)
