boardin_nerd Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 So has anybody ridden the Stash park up at killington yet? It looks so sick! I'd love to hear more about it till i can get up there. i can't wait to shred it when i'm going up on the 18, 19, 20th.. HOpefully i'll be able to post a TR about it then. Clicky Quote
Schif Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 I've wanted to ride a stash park since I first heard about them a few years ago. I'll definitely have to make a trip up and see it this year. Quote
boardin_nerd Posted January 7, 2009 Author Report Posted January 7, 2009 its new this year right? cuz i went last year and maybe it was because i didn't ride as much park last year, but i didn't see it.. Quote
Schif Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 This is the first year that it is at Killington. They had it at some place out west last year, I forget where though. Quote
boardin_nerd Posted January 7, 2009 Author Report Posted January 7, 2009 Oh.. sweet! i'm so stoked to go! Quote
Schif Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 huH? Where they had The Stash last year Quote
boardin_nerd Posted January 7, 2009 Author Report Posted January 7, 2009 Where they had The Stash last year oh.. wait they change it every year? Cuz it said they have it five places... or did that mean they had it five places before? Quote
ectobar Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 oh.. wait they change it every year? Cuz it said they have it five places... or did that mean they had it five places before? They have them at 5 total places now. Northstar at Tahoe was one of the first I believe. Quote
Schif Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 Its still at Northstar, it was just there last year too, they expand each year but don't necessarily close the others. Quote
DHarrisburg Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 The Stash at Northstar was awesome when it'd snow 6++ inches, I'm curious to see how an east coast equivalent is going to work out with the lack of natural snow. Quote
Stevo Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 Haha, i'm up at killington right now. Stash opened up today and it's pretty unique and fun. If i can get pictures tomorrow i'll throw them up. I didn't ride it but once today because i screwed up my wrist yesterday. We're expecting some overnight freshies...it's actually snowing right now so we're pretty stoked. If we get decent snow i'll most likely not be in the park, but i'll try to snap some pics. Quote

Dan- Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 Tree's will be skiable whenever it snows enough. Quote
Mixilplix Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 What all parks should be.All natural.. Quote
boardin_nerd Posted January 7, 2009 Author Report Posted January 7, 2009 Tree's will be skiable whenever it snows enough. they got 150 inches of snow so far this year... and there getting a foot right now.... isn't that enough? or do they just open it after big snowfalls then close it agian if they have a lack of snow Quote
julz m Posted January 8, 2009 Report Posted January 8, 2009 the stash is also in a place in europe i think. Quote

Most places are just ski the woods at your own risk though... Quote
Stevo Posted January 8, 2009 Report Posted January 8, 2009 Woke up to about 4 inches of fresh snow. There was a little ice here and there still (sunday night freezing rain made almost everything shitty), but it was pretty sweet. The woods were definitely fun. I didn't get a chance to snap pictures, but i'm sure they'll be up on killington's website sometime. The stash is a burton sponsored thing i think, and there's a few scattered about here and there. boardin_nerd Posted January 8, 2009 Author Report Posted January 8, 2009 ya i just noticed that they opened like 30 more trails.. thats mad sweet! hope it stays that way when i go up! come on weather please hold out! and ya the stash is deff a burton promo.. but nonetheless it still looks mad sick Quote
Max Posted January 9, 2009 Report Posted January 9, 2009 I was up at Kmart on earlier in the week. Lapped the stash alot, really unique and really sick. All the jumps are set up as they call them "cliffs" they are just somewhat big stepdowns. Like 30 foot gaps. THeres some really cool rails/boxes which are tree trunks cut in half. Coolest feature is thers a couple trees they bent over and turned them into rainbow rails. And woods are fine I was ducking ropes the whole time i was up,theres plenty of snow just skied off but still fun. Pics are uploading. Quote
Schif Posted January 9, 2009 Report Posted January 9, 2009 Not exactly what I had pictured when I thought about the stash. I thought it was in the trees, but it looks like that section was on a cut trail . Quote
Max Posted January 9, 2009 Report Posted January 9, 2009 It's actully really cool its like theres a bunch of different ways to get down like theres alot of sections through the trees with rails and tree bonks. Quote
