Swiss Acres hooked it up big time when I was there over the summer. Nice little place with a hot tub and good breakfast. We rented out the biggest room which was above the lobby and it could have easily slept our entire party of like 10-12 people. It was only about a 3-4 minute drive down onto the main street, and cab service was cheap and fast when we got a buzz.

Check out their ski packages. Says they offer some discount rates and might do one for students... Breakfast, free shuttle to the mountain and to main street, lift ticket, and lodging...

We stay at the Townhouse Lodge, no hot tub or breakfast, discount for WF lift passes, large, clean rooms w/ kitchenette, shuttle access, 30-40/pp per nite as of last year.

I'm not a student but the place looks nice....I also found a place called the Woodlake Inn that looks good and I believe it's on Main Street.

 Wow that's a good price.

Whiteface / LP has been on my list for a while and I'm looking to finally get up there this season.

I'll have to check that place out, I always stay at the marriott which is nice but too pricey for nothing but sleeping there.

Last time I was there I stayed at an inn type place that had a little bar/restaurant. It was around the bend past the stadium. Don't really remember the name or cost, but it had tempurpedic beds, and they were fantastic.

Much better breakfast than Marriot, just as clean, family run. No brainer...

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. We're likely hitting the Mountain View Inn. They have a weekend ski and stay package for the 87 per night which includes lift tix which was pretty much the best deal I could find. Probably heading up first weekend in March.

That's a pretty nice place...stayed there once to avoid my folks. Screamers were next door, though...never heard such a confused nympho; between the 'right there, again!' and the 'no, oh god stop!' I didn't know what the hell was going on.

Anyway, check this place out too...it's basic, but the food there kicks ass and they have good deals for whiteface: www.hungrytrout.com

It's a fishing and hunting place, so there are absolutely no frills...it's about five minutes from Whiteface (I think you can catch the shuttle to the mountain for free from there). Downside: if you're gonna hit the town at night you'll need a (pricey) cab. The cops in LP are real dicks. They won't hesitate to pull you over for no reason and administer a breathalyzer, claiming that you were "weaving" or "driving somewhat erratically."

Anyway, rant over. Enjoy Whiteface!
