RidgeRacer Posted January 16, 2009 Report Posted January 16, 2009 Just back not too long ago from a cold night a Big Boulder. The temperature was about 5 degrees (it's down to 3 now according to weather.com). Once I got going though it wasn't too bad. I definitely recommend wearing a face mask and layers of course. The snow was perfect packed powder, no ice and no problems on my edges. Boulder Park and Snow Drift were closed . The groomer was building those monster jumps on Boulder park. I spent most of the time on Bunny's Elbow, Draufganger and Mittl-Weg. There was still plenty of cord on Mittl-Weg which was great. Mittl-Weg is forgotten about since you have to trudge uphill from the Big Boulder lift to get to it. The snowguns were not on. There's plenty of snow. That's all I got. Tonight was fun as usual. RidgeRacer Posted January 17, 2009 Author Report Posted January 17, 2009 My favorite trail. Ditto I also like the top of snow drift near the pine trees (spruce trees?). Skiing there at nights now, I'm actually gaining a whole new respect for Boulder. Quote
