KevinThomas Posted January 18, 2009 Report Posted January 18, 2009 I came from a world where you locked up your shit , trusted nobody, and always carried a gun. damn, you packin R2D2? Quote
Robert2 Posted January 18, 2009 Report Posted January 18, 2009 ahahahaha..I bet he is.. nope... I don't live there anymore. Only time I've been back there was for funerals. Quote
snownskateguy Posted January 18, 2009 Report Posted January 18, 2009 ... blatantly obvious that somebody's stealing it since they'd have to have wire cutters and everything? I agree that a lock is a good investment, for a small price you can give your gear a decent level of protection. my guess is, however, that it is only a deterrent, causing a thief to just find another board or skis to steal unless yours is very expensive. ever see the nyc bike thief video on youtube? other than mountain security who wont always be watching the non-check racks, i dont think many people would worry about or take the time to intervene in an obvious theft unless it is their or a friends gear. i personally dont spend any time in the lodge, keep my board, phone and money with me all the time, and i lock everything else, covered up or hidden, in my car. Kyle Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 a couple weeks ago someoone took my $20 wal mart gloves. i just laughed because i needed new ones anyway Quote
Mixilplix Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 There a tons of video cams at BC. They run loops of people stealing shit on the TVs in the lodge(at least they used too...I haven't spent much time in there as of late) Quote
gdthomas Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 I always check my board even when just going to the bathroom, and the most valuable thing left in my car is probably CDs. Although I have never used Frost actually has a free bag check inside their lodge which I haven't seen anywhere else. Quote

Ski check is much more effective! Quote
JibHonk Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 yah but bear creek is really wired like a casino. a friend of mine got his oakly goggles stolen and security and state police tracked the kid who did all the to cherry hill, new jersey and recovered the goggles and also filed charges. they have cameras that can see each individual rows of parking for like 8 rows back which i think is pretty legit. would be really awesome if they had a camera in like each row so they could get the thieves license plate Quote
Max Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 mount snow and okemo used to have one... i dont know if they still do. that was always nice to use. Yeah killington has a free bag check too in KBL. If there is no free ski check i always separate my two skis hopefully that works. Quote
