PASKIINGSUCKS Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 I was thinking about a trip to new york this weekend, if it falls through I might get in on this. I could pick up anyone on the way and I'm in BC area. Barto to be specific. Quote

Maybe we should do an earlier meeting since it gets crowded at Blue? Remember peeps, you can buy discount lift tickets at Buckmans (and probably other ski shops)! Quote
Tyler Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 ehh slide me down onto the maybe part of the list Quote
ColoradoHigh Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 Its nice that it will be warm. I'm kinda sick of skiing in the cold... Quote
mdskier Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 Hey, I'll be there. I never met anyone from PASR before, so I'm excited. I've been using the boards for a few years, but mostly ski at Blue Knob near Altoona because I live near Washington DC. For the past two years, I've taken my son and two nieces to Bear Creek. This year we are going to Blue (sans my oldest niece who got married and now lives in Germany). We will be there for sure on Saturday and are going to Buckman's Friday night to get our tickets and rentals! Quote

I have an appointment with an orthopedic doctor on Thursday at 2pm to find out what is wrong with my knee. It now hurts when I walk up/down stairs, but not on level ground. I'll probabily come out, just to meet everyone, perhaps get small and hit some tubing if the doc say not to ski (which I fear is going to be the case). I know the meet-up spot is usually at the top of the 6 pack, but how does the group feel about making an exception this time, and meeting at the bottom of the terrain run/6pack area? Quote
RootDKJ Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 I'm not just driving 3 hours for nothing, pass holders get full use of the snowtubing this year, my wife is gonna be in Philly and I don't pay for gas until 2/13. Quote

I'm sorry:( I'll be at Gaper Day come hell or high water though! Melissa, just call in sick, tell them you can't go to the meeting. You have other things to do, such as the Blue PASR day...that is MUCH more important then a crummy meeting... Quote
RidgeRacer Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 I'm not able to make it on Saturday either but have fun all. Quote
kragan Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 What is this discount that you can get at Buckman's? Quote
AtomicSkier Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 There is a huge PARA race on Saturday. 200+ racers plus their parents. Ugh. It's going to be packed on Saturday. Quote

AtomicSkier Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 Hopefully they cancel it!? But I'm kinda, sorta, maybe used to the crowds... The great thing is that us passholders get to skip the line while you normal folk have to wait. Suckas! As long as they don't cut the VIP line.. Most of the racerhonks use the quad. Quote
toast21602 Posted February 5, 2009 Author Report Posted February 5, 2009 i dont know if i'll be up before PASR day... i have too much shit going on right now. Quote
AtomicSkier Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 Atomic Jeff..on a PASR day..us season passholders should wait in the regular line.. The non VIP line this past weekend with a smaller race were nuts by 9:30am. Quote
