TylerDurden Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 (edited) Stay out of the park. Edited January 19, 2009 by TylerDurden Quote
HouseMuzik Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 I'll come down to Bear Creek and give them a lesson on Smartstyle.. WTF were they doing in the park? I will admit, once or twice i have been through BB and Cascade with friends.. but I stay so far off to the side that I am out of the way of everything. I don't use it as a shortcut though like some people Quote
TylerDurden Posted January 19, 2009 Author Report Posted January 19, 2009 Thats not bad^, but I am talking mainly about the little kids that ride through it every time they go down the hill. Quote

I dunno.. to me, you shouldn't be in there unless you are actually using the terrain.. or at least doing something useful.. say video/pictures or something.. but yeah, it seems like the subject of these kids comes up again and again ain't... Mixilplix Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 Stay out of the park. Why don't you take this up with management or the race team coaches......They might listen to you! Quote
k2rider2690 Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 Can we please not talk about this like every single year...the only way anything is gonna happen about people being in the park that shouldn't be is to have a park pass and that will prob never happen...end of story Quote
TylerDurden Posted January 19, 2009 Author Report Posted January 19, 2009 This thread is more about bringing awareness of the dumbness of the Bear Creek Race Team, and just letting everyone know and be aware of the presence and danger they bring to the park. It's intention is almost like an anti-drug campaign, but instead of that, anti-BCRT. Quote
Mixilplix Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 Hey Tyler..Why don't you PM BC Mark(manager) and tell him about the BC race team in the park.See what he has to say about it. Quote
boardin_nerd Posted January 21, 2009 Report Posted January 21, 2009 Hey Tyler..Why don't you PM BC Mark(manager) and tell him about the BC race team in the park.See what he has to say about it. A very good idea.. it might actually get things cleared up rather then just posting how annoyed you are about it on the forum. Quote
mollyskeez Posted January 21, 2009 Report Posted January 21, 2009 well ive heard race team has already been told to stay out of the park or teach their kids to not be a hazard but they just didn't listen. i really wouldn't mind race team in the parks if they new proper park etiquette. Quote
boardin_nerd Posted January 21, 2009 Report Posted January 21, 2009 stay outta the freaking landings and dont cut people off Quote
Kyle Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 i'm not trying to be an ass but youre preaching to the choir haha Quote
ColoradoHigh Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 times two..can you make a thread about the Blue mountain race team??? They are all over the place in cutting people off.. Same with the ski instructors, with out students... Quote
k2rider2690 Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 ski instructors dont bring students in becuase were not allowed to teach in the park Quote
Saurus Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 are there any young freestyle instructors? The few times ive seen them giving lessons, the guys teaching seemed to be all 40 and over Quote
mollyskeez Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 yes i know 2 that are like 20 and don't now any others. Quote
snowboarddude Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 BCRT is soo sweet.. i have never seen people people roll lips, cut people off, and make massive turns on landings like they do!! They could win awards, the park just wouldn't be the same without them. but seriously from what i have been told they are not aloud in the park when they are with instructors but as soon as they get lunch"free time" they just go up and shred the park without the instructors maybe the race team leaders should be required to tell the racers of the dangers in the park and that they can go through but the need to follow smart style no rolling lips, cutting, having a conversation on the landing of a 35ft jump... stuff like that Quote
k2rider2690 Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 there are a few younger freestyle coaches...but whenever we are teaching students we are not allowed to step foot in the park with the students...but as soon as our lesson is done we have no control over where they go unfortunately... Quote
Oakley375 Posted January 23, 2009 Report Posted January 23, 2009 yea i hate little kids they need to do something about it and ever like old 40 year old chicks going in there for no reason besides getting in the way its annoying Quote
TylerDurden Posted January 23, 2009 Author Report Posted January 23, 2009 What would alleviate much of this problem, if the the whole terrain park/parks was moved to the other side of the mountain, preferably Timberline. Due to it's wide slope and long trail it would provide superior conditions and since its not the first run that everyone sees, and it's hard to get to the top of it, it would keep many a non belongers out. JibHonk Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 nastar and BCRT would have a shit fit if we took timberline Quote

For this you should have to pay 40 xtra bucks onto the rest of your season pass. and take a instructional video on saftey. if you are just coming for a day it should just be like an xtra 5 for a park pass 2. this park pass could only be used on cascade and blackbear. also land could possibly be cleared so there would only be 1 entrance to the terrain park... right now where there's a gnarly backtrail and they could use that and move some land around so it would cut into before blackbear... there could be a nice tree line built so that blackbear wouldnt be acsessable unless you had a park pass. Do you have somebody at the entrance checking for a park pass?....... I imagine that there would be quite a line to get into the park. Quote
