TylerDurden Posted January 28, 2009 Author Report Posted January 28, 2009 I have been offered the position of GM many, many times but have turned down. I make enough money as it is and to be quite frank, don't really need anymore. Plus Bear Creek couldn't handle my professionalism and formal way of interacting. The culture there is too weak and mine is too strong. The downward way information flows is not my style I am more of an "on the same level" type of professional. Quote
snowboarddude Posted January 28, 2009 Report Posted January 28, 2009 i think bear's managment is actualy pretty good... they are a little to strict sometimes but i guess that fits in that whole five star mountain resort idea. Quote

TylerDurden Posted January 29, 2009 Author Report Posted January 29, 2009 (edited) Don't even get me started with the things Spring has offered me for my service since they don't have any money. Edited January 29, 2009 by TylerDurden Quote
ket19 Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 i'd also like to propose that all the kids who boardslide slowly down extreme and grizzly, leaving a snail trail of ice in their wake, be set on fire. Quote
mollyskeez Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 my mom witnessed one of the female race coaches take out a couple girls. apparently the girls were waiting at the bottom where it clearly says slow skiing area (quad on skiers left of the mountain.) and the race coach came flying in couldn't stop and took the kids out. personally i couldn't stop laughing when i heard it but they prolly shouldn't be riding around with bears name on their back teaching kids to ski and pull shenanigans like that. accidents happen but come on they are teaching kids how to ski. not saying they are bad skiers because they are not in fact they are very good and i respect them for it but jeeze this was funny. TylerDurden Posted February 3, 2009 Author Report Posted February 3, 2009 Yeah, I have seen a few instructors and Ski Patrollers who look like they aren't confident in their own abilities. Quote

mollyskeez Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 on sunday i saw a race team kid clear a jump in black bear without carving any landings/lips. it was impressive. Quote
TylerDurden Posted February 11, 2009 Author Report Posted February 11, 2009 I saw them in a big pack right about to enter the park the other day, I felt compelled to snap a picture with my iPhone. So later today I will post it up. Quote
